President Donald Trump visited Afghanistan for the first time on Thanksgiving Day with a surprise visit to an airbase in the country to meet American troops.
Trump walked in to Bagram airbase unannounced as troops looked up from their Thanksgiving dinner.
Alright, who wants some photos, said one of the officers accompanying Trump into the room. Everybody stood up and cheered.

My Marine COL Buddy (RIP) relayed the story of one Christmas some troops coming in from patrol on Christmas Eve with a twig and bush, proclaiming it the Christmas Tree with the mandatory snarl, Ho f’n Ho.
We used to serve such a great ‘feast’ whenever we debarked Marines that they would volunteer for clean up duty.
Many volunteered, few were chosen....
Is great Trump is embracing the armed forces, particularly the Navy Seal situation. He might truly need their loyalty someday.
