Former President Barack Obama reportedly told a visitor that President Donald Trump “knows absolutely nothing” after the two met at the White House in 2016.
Obama and his small staff had to deal with “a crazy president personally obsessed with Obama” after Trump won in 2016, Politico reported Tuesday. The former president has gradually become more vocal against Trump since the election, but appears to have privately voiced concerns throughout Trump’s tenure.
“He [Trump] knows absolutely nothing,” Obama reportedly said after one White House meeting.
Obama “held out hope” for a traditional relationship as past and current president, Obama’s first post-presidential press secretary Kevin Lewis said, according to Politico. However, Trump’s policies and apparent attacks of the former president forced Obama’s hand.
“He [Obama] wanted to be a resource,” according to Lewis. “What we didn’t expect at the level that it was done were the attacks.”

Maybe Obama’s been so forgotten , even among black Democrats, that he desperately needs publicity, and knows if he can agitate a reaction out of Trump the tweetstorm will not only give Obama 15 more minutes of fame but Trump might tweet something they can spin as racist to woo back black voters.

Obama held out for a normal relationships like past presidents have after what his administration did to spy on Trump. The nerve of Obama....what an A$$

“Focusing addressing the lie”, but it was not a lie and everyone knows it.
Trump was aware, during his campaign, that obama was spying on him, and plotting against him. Why would Trump speak with obama about anything?
Obama was “groomed “ for the job by the CIA and Trump wasn’t!
Obama was more likely a KGB puppet or whatever they call it now.

He sabotaged the missile defense agreement with eastern European countries. He allowed Cuban intelligence to tour SOCOM. He tried to reinstall a communist in Honduras. He dumped massive amounts of pre regime Iranian money - plus interest- on the regime that overthrew the Shah and aligned themselves with the USSR, then Russia, Cuba, and Chavez’s Venezuela. He picked a communist CIA chief and surrounded himself with people who had long sang the Soviet Union’s praises. He was just the sort of person the Russians trained at their Patrice Lumumba University.
