Democratic Rep. Brenda Lawrence of Michigan now favors censuring President Trump after backing impeachment proceedings over allegations that he withheld military aid from Ukraine for his personal benefit.
Lawrence appeared on the Michigan radio show No BS News Hour with host Charlie LeDuff on Sunday to discuss the impeachment process in the House. Lawrence told LeDuff, to his surprise, that she does not support removing the president from office and that she would ask her caucus to censure him instead.
"We are so close to an election. I will tell you, sitting here knowing how divided this country is, I don't see the value of taking him out of office," Lawrence said. "I do see the value of putting down a marker saying his behavior is not acceptable."
Lawrence represents a heavily Democratic district that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won with a roughly 60% margin in the 2016 presidential election. The district has not been represented by a Republican since 1948.

The prospect of the other side getting to have their say isn’t so appealing anymore.
At his rallies, POTUS can switch from asking, “WHERE’S HUNTER?” to “WHERE’S THE IMPEACHMENT?? I’M WAITING!”
He can switch it to censor, saying they didn’t like him using the word Schiffshow.

Dems have put impeachment on the back burner for the holidays. Nothing will happen until January. Rush said today he was told the Dems do have the votes to impeach but only just barely. We have to assume they will impeach and keep the pressure on the GOP controlled Sentae to substantively support POTUS now.
Even “censure” is absurd! Censure Trump for WHAT??? He did NOTHING WRONG!!!!

Sorry, no impeachment vote and no censure either. Drop this as soon as you can if you want to save any fragment of your party. Drop it and take the consequences. If she is floating this, Trump will not make that deal.
I forget who was interviewing him, one of the MSM patsies, and he would not say he was for impeachment. He said he needed to discuss it with his people and see where they stood.
The democrats can vote for impeachment and win.
Then they will lose the House and President Trump will win in a landslide.
