Lindsey Graham Defends Biden Probe: Burisma Deal ‘Doesn’t Pass the Smell Test’
Breitbart ^ | 11/25/2019 | Joshua Caplan

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Monday defended his decision to investigation former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, over allegations of corruption related to their activities in Ukraine.

Graham sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Thursday seeking documents in an effort determine whether the former vice president was involved for the firing of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin in a bid to squash a probe into Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian gas firm where the younger was a board member. Hunter Biden was paid up to $83,000 a month for several years as a board member, while his father was in the White House

“””””””Linda got his balls back after McCain died.””””

That, plus he hears Trumps giant brass ones clanging in the distance.

No, he is running for re-election.
He learned the McCain two-step from the master.
As soon as the polls close, he’ll be pushing amnesty.
Skunks don’t change their stripes.

The Linda train is huffing and puffing but I’m not sure it’ll ever leave the station. I think the folks that are dirty in the Ukraine deals are numerous. Lindsey growing testicleees at this point in time is interesting. You hang around a hog lot long enough you get mud and pig on yourself. He may be trying to get a little distance from the folks covered in mud and pig.

Boy, is that ever right!

That’s why Graham has been re-elected by the good people of SC. He’s a very smart man, very well spoken, and actually rational. I have the feeling that if you disagree with him on something and present your arguments, he’d consider them. He’s a native South Carolinian from a pretty modest background, btw; he has an SC accent, which to a lot of Americans sounds affected, but it’s not.

I’m impressed by his realism. He didn’t support Trump at first - and I didn’t like him either, because I grew up in NY when Trump was still a Dem - but I think Graham has grown to have real respect for Trump, as I have.

And I wish people on FR would stop cutting him down every time he supports Trump.

He hasn’t actually done anything yet. He can talk tough when he needs some street cred (votes). But does he ever accomplish anything? Mccain was the same. Said everything he needed to to get elected, and then never followed through. Some of these GOP are just salesman.

Of course he’s right. The media keep telling us “there is no evidence” but that’s because they refuse to look.

1) Biden is put in charge of Ukraine relations
2) Within weeks, Burisma hires his son, his son’s friend, and several other connected people like a CIA analyst etc.
3) They get paid millions
4) Some media question the appearance
5) Biden continues to say he had no idea even though the media questioned it, just as a formality (no follow-up) in 2014 and 2015
6) The Ukrainian prosecutors raid Burisma in the Ukraine
7) Burisma hires a lobbying firm to ask Sec of State John Kerry to interven
8) The lobbying firm reminds Kerry that Hunter Biden is on their board
9) Kerry’s step son, while not involved in Burisma, is a partner with Hunter Biden and their friend in many other ventures
10) Kerry and Biden are old friends, serving in the Senate together for decades. Kerry was Sec of State and Biden was V.P.
11) The third friend and Burisma board member ultimately arranges a meeting with Kerry
12) Within weeks, Biden flies to Ukraine and blackmails them with $1.2 billion - fire the prosecutor investigating Burisma or you get no aid
13) Ukraine fires the prosecutor.

Of course this doesn’t “pass the smell test”

Some other anecdotes

1) George Kent, who testified in the impeachment hearings, worked with State Dept and Soros backed funds to finance a special unit called NABU to “investigate corruption” but this unit was autonomous inside Ukraine, did not answer to the Ukrainian prosecutors/investigators

2) Several Ukrainians allege they were told point blank they needed to avoid, or “treat with white gloves” any investigations into certain people

3) Ukrainian prosecutors allege Ambassador Yovanovitch directed the funds to NABU, gave them a list of people to avoid investigating, and ultimately withheld visas for those who wanted to come to the USA to give testimony about Ukrainian corruption

4) The head of Burisma was the minister in charge of natural resources and gave himself the rights to drill for oil and gas; and also controls much of the Russian imports of resources.

The whole thing stinks. Ukraine is considered the most corrupt place in Europe. All this money sloshed around. They clearly set much of this up to be one of their key money laundering and bribery operations.

The Obama Admin:

1) Gave no military aid to Ukraine even as Russia invaded
2) Signed off on Uranium One asset transfer to Russia
3) Did nothing as Russia ended up occupying Syria
4) Handed $150 billion to Iran who ended up spending a lot of the money in Russia.

And they have the nerve to claim Trump colluded with Russia; it’s preposterous.

And so much more... The Ukrainian government officials sabotaged the Trump campaign by releasing documents, never proven, that forced the resignation of Paul Manafort... and also worked with Ms. Chalupa to spread dirt on Trump in the months ahead of the election.

It goes on and on. Anyone who wanted the appearance of being clean would steer clear of Ukraine. Anyone who wanted to cover up their dirty deals in Ukraine would do the above and then accuse their opponents of being dirty.

I can imagine what the burning ruins of the American consulate in Benghazi smelled like on the morning of Sept.12, 2012.

‘Doesn’t Pass the Smell Test’

There is no need to defend himself, or at least there shouldn't be.

Vice President Biden was leading the US "anti-corruption" team that was supposed to be addressing Ukraine's corruption, two of the largest offenders being Burisma and Privatbank, while his SON was sitting on the company's Board of Directors! Billions of dollars, much of it from American Taxpayers were missing! And VP Biden comes in and shuts down the investigation into his son's company and the missing Billions!

It is UNTHINKABLE that this would not be investigated. Biden is LYING about his ignorance of his son's role. It's the equivalent of the CIA Director Brennan's son working for Vladimir Putin, and the Brennan just says "we never talked about that". This goes way beyond failing the "smell test". Yet the media claims it's all "debunked".

I agree with you. There are a lot of us who didn’t support Trump at first. I was for Ted Cruz and I didn’t think Trump could win.

The next morning after he beat the Beast, I decided to support him as long as I could. He turned out to be the best President we’ve ever had, with Reagan a close second.

If Lindsey is doing good things now, I’ll give him the same chance.

Well said, guys. Enough real enemies surrounding us, don’t need to create more.
I’ve been Team Trump from early on but appreciate Graham’s strong support. He was vital during the Kavanaugh mess

Some of these GOP are just salesman.

YO, Numbnutz!

I was a 'just a salesman' for over 45 years, made a ton of money and never had to lie about my products or services.

If you want to denigrate a profession, call these pricks, 'just a lawyer'.

Your apology is accepted, in advance, and no need to respond.

Why does everybody in DC always empasize what a nice man Biden is. I do feel badly for his losses, however, he is as crooked as they come. That is not my idea of a nice guy. He’s a great bullshitter, and schmoozer, but it is like a immature high school student who wants to be prom king.
