Score another one for Wagon Train, the figurative movement away from California by its most productive and creative citizens.
Pop superstar and tennis shoe mogul Kanye West has given all indications of pulling up stakes and setting into less restrictive and less costly Cody, Wyoming. He's bought two large properties there, and he and his wife, Kim Kardashian, have been reportedly checking the schools for their four children.
According to an interesting eclectic collection of stories and links by the PanAm Post, it's the same reason a lot of Californians are leaving — the one-party blue state's execrable business climate:
During his interview, West made it clear he found California's rigid regulatory structure stifling and a bit irritating. He shared a story about regulators telling him his Star Wars–inspired domes for the homeless — a project West was experimenting with — were not up to code.
"One of the domes was 10 feet too high," said West. "They came and said, 'You got to take it down.'"
West said he was fine with taking it down, but he was angry that officials informed the press about the action.
"Ten feet? On my own 300-acre property?" said West. "And we could have handled it...but [they] wanted to go to the press to let everyone know [they] were tearing down Kanye's domes."
The episode apparently was enough to help convince West, an innovator who speaks glowingly about creativity and the virtue of competition, that California was not the place for his multibillion-dollar brand (Yeezy is owned solely by West).
In other words, he tries to do something good for the poor people, and the leftist Democrat officials not only interfered with the construction to shut the whole thing down, but, after that, decided to twist the knife by calling the press.

Now that they hate him...?
I love him!
I strongly suspect that the California culture is not where the Wests want to raise their children. I don’t know much about the different states, but I suspect Wyoming is far closer to traditional values than California.
Does Yellowstone have any nearby towns of sizeable population? I have been to Casper and Cheyanne and found nice yet boring local environments. I would almost think that Glenwood Springs, Colorado would be a better place to live. However, I am not an expert. Just speculating.
Wyoming has no state income tax!
Cody has a great ballet troupe.
Does he play tennis or is just a mogul?
I fled 25 years ago.
Please dont mention Texas anymore. We dont want that California infection coming to Texas. Everythings they touch turns to crap.
I fled in 1995 and never looked back. Eventually retired in south Alabama, one of the remaining free states. Except for perhaps New York any state is better than Commiefornia. I took the only good thing to come from Commiefornia with me when I left, my wife, and she is a Trump lovin conservative Schiff hating woman and I love her for it.
“Wyoming has no state income tax!”

Exactly!
Someone who earns as much money as Kayne West will save a fortune in state income taxes by leaving California.
Kim K is going to live in Wyoming? Ha!
The Wests are moving East...I hope when people flee California, they will leave liberalism behind!! People fleeing California ruined Colorado...
You know, if she’s down for the ride with her hubby, there is some hope for her. Haven’t heard any news our of them (I deliberately avoid social media for the sewer it is) so it is possible she has started to turn her life around. Pray to the Lord it is so.
Cody is the nearest sizeable town to Yellowstone. If you are there and get bored, take a leisurely drive two hours up the Chief Joseph Highway to the Beartooth Highway and on up to Beartooth Pass. This is one of the most beautiful places in all of America.
Why would you want to go to Colorado?
After the influx of easterners and west coasters it’s just as F’ed up as California, New York, Washington, Oregon, New Jersey, and Massachusetts!
I fled CA in 1947 when I was two years old.
I have visited a couple of times. SD, SF- on north through Redwood National - and later, Laguna Beach.
Enjoyed my time there for the most part.
Didnt want to live there, still dont. Sure as hell wouldnt now!
Kim K is going to live in Wyoming? Ha!

I’m surprised, too, since she is studying law here. Now she will have to learn Wyoming law, I guess.
