Navy secretary DEFIES Trump...(truncated)
Daily Mail ^ | 22 Nov 2019 | Ariel Zilber

Posted on 11/23/2019 8:47:19 AM PST by Mr Rogers

Navy Secretary Richard Spencer said on Friday a Navy SEAL convicted of battlefield misconduct should face a board of peers weighing whether to oust him from the elite force, despite President Donald Trump's assertion that he not be expelled. 'I believe the process matters for good order and discipline,' Spencer told Reuters, weighing in on a confrontation between Trump and senior Navy officials over the outcome of a high-profile war-crimes case....

...The Navy responded with a statement saying it would follow 'lawful orders' from the president to halt the review but was awaiting further guidance, suggesting his Twitter post was not considered a formal directive....

...Trump’s intervention into the Navy’s affairs has angered senior military officers and civilian officials in the Pentagon, according to the Post....

[[’I believe the process matters for good order and discipline,’ Spencer told Reuters]]

Then you won’t mind looking for a civilian job then for disobeying an order then huh?

“But Trump is oddly hesitant to fire people and/or remove the Obama loyalists who continue to undermine him to this day.”

Yes he is. That is because of the implied threat the Senate republicans have always expressed that they might vote to impeach him. Paul Ryan always put that threat out, and now Nancy has the house. And the Senate loves holding that threat over him to keep him weakened. Some appointees they will not confirm. The ones they do must be people they are ok with.

I figure we are getting about 35-40% of the Presidency Trump was going to give us had the Republican party not worked so hard to stymie him.

Just like those state department fools that were testifying all week. The President is doing things differently from how we usually do them, so he must be wrong and we don’t have to listen to him.

Fire his ass. Now.

What in the hell is going on in the military?

Probably just another communist queer.

Get 'em out!

“Guy’s obviously a demigod in his own mind...”

Navy officers already think they are a form of royalty. So SecNav probably does think he’s a demigod.

Trump needs to bring back those officers, if he can

“You are correct about salute and obey. But you have to have an order first. The President extrapolating on twitter is not an order to anyone.”

Bullshit. He issues a FULL PARDON to Gallager, and the Navy starts a new proceeding against him. So the commander in Chief Tweets this:

“The Navy will NOT be taking away Warfighter and Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s Trident Pin. This case was handled very badly from the beginning. Get back to business!”

Then the Navy decides to conduct disciplinary proceedings against them unless they get written orders? That is insubordination. They know exactly what he wants and they are doing the opposite. And not because they are unclear. It is because they do not agree.

I think the next written orders they will get are their commission revocations.

You have no idea if an order thru channels was issued and neither do I (but I believe it has been ordered) or anyone here. Yet you seem to believe an order was not issued.

The Admiral has already begun to back track and this issue will be resolved quickly.

8 years of Obama. They promoted people they liked. And did not promote the others. So we have a bunch of DNC hacks in important positions. And if you noticed, many of Americas intelligence officers are foreign born. Especially those who were in the impeachment hearings.

It seems to me that I have heard some scuttlebutt that he has been doing just that. Can’t say for sure, though.

What needs to happen is a complete dismantling of everything that Bathhouse Barry and the Shrub did. Talk about a pair of industrial strength phuque-ups they were and are.

Even if one didn’t come through channels. If Trump tweets that the Gallagher thing is over, get back to work. That is clear enough. Get back to work didn’t mean... on screwing with Gallagher some more.

Pure insubordination.

I keep seeing these posts accompanied by a lot of hyperventilation. And folks keep missing the point.

Trump reinstated Gallagher and his rank. He did not say he had to go back to the SEALs.

A staff review is in order for Gallagher. There still is some question of his suitability for any particular assignment that needs to be resolved, regardless of his pardon.

The SEALs are a very specialized unit. Not everyone qualifies. Very few, in fact, do. His actions may have made him unsuitable for SEAL duty. This review is to determine that.

Spencer served 5 years and made captain in the USMC. The article, the way it’s written, makes you think that this guy reached some senior rank in the Marine Corps. He did not. Company-grade, and that was a long time ago. Investment banking since then.
