Navy Secretary Richard Spencer said on Friday a Navy SEAL convicted of battlefield misconduct should face a board of peers weighing whether to oust him from the elite force, despite President Donald Trump's assertion that he not be expelled. 'I believe the process matters for good order and discipline,' Spencer told Reuters, weighing in on a confrontation between Trump and senior Navy officials over the outcome of a high-profile war-crimes case....

The President should summon this jackass into the Oval Office, along with the JCS and other senior flag officers, hand them copies of The Constitution, and summarily fire his ass while making it ABUNDANTLY clear WHO is in charge and WHO sets policy!
The same thing that's happened to most every other American institution and tradition.
Well, maybe he is confident of a good gig at CNN being their “expert Navy authority” and spend his time trashing Trump....that ignorant country bumpkin. /s
Read my lips...idiots, POTUS, Donald J. Trump is the Commander-In-Chief...period!!! Both the military brass and the government civilian employees need a house cleaning real bad. You know the old saying...”The boss is not always right...but, the boss is still the boss!!!” Trumpie....at some point, sir...get rid of some of these useless “government employees” deadbeats!!!
Trump told him, “Get back to work”
Sure, why not? Clapper and McCabe have been on CNN. More recently, liberal pit-bull lawyer Weissman.
The President is always the commander in chief. This is insubordination in a military officer. Gotta go.
Trumps intervention into the Navys affairs has angered senior military officers and civilian officials in the Pentagon, according to the Post.
This and the recent testimony by the sanctimonious state department employees has given us a true glimpse into the mindset of these bureaucrats who serve under our tax dollars...
You are correct about salute and obey. But you have to have an order first. The President extrapolating on twitter is not an order to anyone. It is his thoughts on the subject. If he is serious, I believe he is, call the SECNAV, either to the oval office or on the phone, and give him a direct order to cease and desist with the review board. If he does not follow the order, fire him then.
Are we still paying for trannys in the millitary?
Dims are probably trying to set up another scenario for impeachment.
well...when someone rises to head the navy, they should be smart enough to take a tweet from the President as “advice” that should be followed...and not challenged in public if at all...
“The President extrapolating on twitter is not an order to anyone.”
Really? If my boss sent me an email, it wouldn’t really be an order?
The SecNav knows damn well what Trump expects and wants. Trump is NOT a subtle man. He’s publicly disobeying Trump and threatening to resign (maybe) if he doesn’t get to overrule Trump.
Orders need to be clear enough to understand and be delivered. Done! The SecNav KNOWS what Trump wants. He’s made that VERY clear in the article. He knows. He’s received it. He just doesn’t agree. So he’s publicly defying the President in the news media.
My commanders would have eviscerated me. I’d have had my subordinates by the balls.
That is the whole point here. Gallagher was rail roaded and the entire military justice system abused its power and corrupted the process to persecute the guy.
The whole process was corrupt, abusive and illegal. President Trump is correcting the injustice Gallagher has been subjected to< p>
PS - The SecNav has EVERY right to contact President Trump IN PRIVATE and explain his opposition. He has the right to seek clarification - in private. He has no right to complain to the media or say he won’t obey what he believes Trump requires of him.
Fire his azz
On the Nixon tapes, the President is heard talking with Haldeman about a new choice for Navy Secretary: “Hell, any as***** can do that job - we even had John Warner doing it”. Looks like Trump found an even bigger as***** in this jerk Spencer. I really don’t care how this goes over at the Pentagon - they need to follow civilian authority or get their pompous butts out of there.
Green needs to be reminded who his boss is.
“.The Navy responded with a statement saying it would follow ‘lawful orders’ from the president”
Oh, Trump should take this opportunity to give this mutineer a lawful order. Summon him to the White House. Tell him to go bring you a cup of coffee. Tell him no cream or sugar. Then after he brings it, tell him all proceedings against the SEAL are over. Ask if he has any questions.
It’s gotten a lot better but he still has too many people with bad views whispering in his ear saying what they think is the right thing to do
