Prince Andrew's relationship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has cost him sponsors, his royal duties and is now costing him his digs at Buckingham Palace.
According to the Times of London, the prince, who is eighth in line for the British crown, was forced to move his private office out of the palace Friday. Two days earlier Queen Elizabeth relieved her second son of all royal duties. In a statement, the prince, who carries the title Duke of York, said: "It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my familys work and the valuable work going on in the many organizations and charities that I am proud to support."

His offices and rooms in Buckingham Place have been shuttered to him; he has NOT been "thrown out of Buckingham Palace for good and all.
Innocent until proven guilty from my view, but if he has lied and been implicated in far more than he is willing to let off...then he deserves more than slumming it like the rest of us.
From a 1980s UK comedy puppet show, I present the (never old) ditty called appropriately “Randy Andy (Yes, its about him).

They're bring back this puppet show and I can't wait to see what they do with the Harkles!
No, that is incorrect. It wasn't his relationship with Epstein, that had been going on for years, that cost him.
It was people finding out about it that cost him. Can you say public relations nightmare?
Tell me. Was the Queen shocked, shocked I tell you, when she read about it in the papers last week?
Please give me an inbred break.
#DirtyDerpStateRoyals
Nope, down to eighth now that William and Harry are doing their princely duties.
(1) Charles, Prince of Wales (b. 1948)
(2) Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (b. 1982)
(3) Prince George of Cambridge (b. 2013)
(4) Princess Charlotte of Cambridge (b. 2015)
(5) Prince Louis of Cambridge (b. 2018)
(6) Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex (b. 1984)
(7) Archie Mountbatten-Windsor (b. 2019)
(8) Prince Andrew, Duke of York (b. 1960)
How the righteous love to pile on.
Sure can't slip an elephant past this guy!
I’m thinking that the Royal Family, perhaps thru MI-5 or 6, may have been given some briefings on all things Epstein. Now that everything is coming out and there seems to be more and more validity to it, they’re acting shocked and trying to conduct some PR for the world.
Oooooooooooooooops...you’re correct, that’ll teach me to not post while watching T.V.; I do know better, stupid cockup on my! :-(
Better than getting tossed from the Tower of London.
I didn't "pile on" in any way.
LOL..or tossed into it!
Harry and his son come before Andrew, I believe, so he would be 8th.
Yes, they absolutely do and because I’ve been reading a LOT of stuff about the Harkles, tonight, as well as posting on a thread concerning them, my brain juxtaposed Randy Andy with Hapless Harry. Hence my absurd cockup re the numerical line of succession.
I suspect Prince Andrew will still have an upper class lifestyle that most of us wouldn’t even bother dreaming about. There may be some sort of ‘Living Allowance’ that will be provided to him and his family.
But what about the girls?
I think one of his daughters is already married.
Didn’t one of them get the full Royal Marriage treatment?
That won’t be happening again, at least not at expense of
The Crown. They grew up thinking of themselves as a Royal.
In some ways, that mindset is unlikely to ever change.
(Slightly) Off Topic
The Windsors present an upperclass version of a Class Society dynamic portrayed in
the play West Side Story, i,e, “When You’re A Jet. You’re a Jet all the way, From your first cigarette to your last dying day!”. **At some point, the way you see yourself
remains static, often impervious to outside events.
Long live King Michael!
Henry the VIII I am.
If William’s kids have children when they grow up, Andrew would fall farther down.
My impression, from talking with Brits, is they are thinking of ending the monarchy when Queen Elizabeth dies. She’s the last one who stood with England during WWII. None of her children have dine anything to prove their worth.
