If the last 24 hours have proven anything about Chick-fil-A, it's this: It was never about the chicken. For millions of Americans, there was a much deeper significance behind every decision to pull in the parking lot and walk through those doors. It wasn't about the menu. It wasn't even about the service. It was that every time someone ate there, they were making a cultural statement. Chick-fil-A was a business, yes. But it was also a giant rebuttal of everything the bullies stood for. Until it wasn't.

In before the n00b CFA defenders.
Very disappointing.
Five new were announced here in Detroit.
I WAS so happy... :/
<< It was never about the chicken. >>
Thats for damn sure. Average (at best) chix sammich. Now theres NO reason to go there. Worst business decision they couldve possibly made. Go woke, go broke.
CFA decision may go down as one of the biggest blunders ever. The Author is exactly right.
All they need to do now is serve New Coke.
Nailed it.
Along with Gillette.
Target and Budweiser unfortunately recovered from their disastrous moves.
And Target didn’t even have to back down.
That AND THIS saddens me
Yep. Im done with CFA.
They will soon learn a hard business lesson.
1. i believe corporations should not be giving away their shareholders’ assets
2. given that this is done, however,
3. i was thrilled to see Cfillet donating to the Starvation Army, which does tons of good for so many people
4. it hurts to see Cfillet terminating that donation, in particular
5. anyone is free to donate or stop donating to charities or churches of their choice, of course
6. but this dumping of the Salvation Army donation looks like a “caving in” to the immoral extremists ... this appearance is very, very bad imho.. terribly negative
Add the NFL in making a bit of a recovery. Conservatives will bark up until the point it impacts their everyday lives, at which point most will give in. Which is why there will not be a shooting civil war in this country. Far too many conservatives feel they have a lot to lose in fighting such a war, including their own life. This isn’t the 1700s or 1800s or early 1900s anymore.
Sorry to say, but Salvation Army counts as one of those.
I posted thread about that in August.
You're a troubled person. Stunted ego. Join the other side.
what a bunch of sellouts. good article by FRC
Actually it is. GREAT taste. Ever since I had it 40 years ago. And its all because of peanut oil (why never complaints given the obsession with peanut allergies?).
People love their taste and service so much they couldnt resist despite liberal ness. And I live in commie central. It is ALWAYS crowded despite all the commies that control this area.
It’s true. It was never really ‘about the Chicken’.
Too bad those in charge don’t seem to get that right now.
Maybe they’ll ‘correct’ their mistake, but it would seem
self serving at this point. Strictly for the money.
They may have broken the spell for good.
Now, it’s just another place that sells meat sandwiches.
All principles being negotiable.
I was going to say, but next post kinda beat me.
Nothing = the New Coke fiasco. Wow.
THey can join the Pope now with their lgbtqxyz cult appeasement.
We don’t have them in our immediate area, although one has arrived not too far away.
Back when they were being protested by the Left (5 years ago?) I made a point of trying them several times when traveling.
So yes, their Christian position did garner them my business.
Now it won’t
