If the last 24 hours have proven anything about Chick-fil-A, it's this: It was never about the chicken. For millions of Americans, there was a much deeper significance behind every decision to pull in the parking lot and walk through those doors. It wasn't about the menu. It wasn't even about the service. It was that every time someone ate there, they were making a cultural statement. Chick-fil-A was a business, yes. But it was also a giant rebuttal of everything the bullies stood for. Until it wasn't.

When I really want to try a new restaurant, a simple/short menu is the key.
Agreed.
And you even replying to me with your antics proves our point.
Go take your meds child.
“In the case of Nike, their most loyal and fanatical customers tend not to be Trump supporters.”
You are correct. Our adult sons and their adult kids were big Nike users as the families are into running, hiking, biking and other sports using athletic shoes.
They have not bought any Nike stuff since Nike declared war on them as stupid deploreables.
One lived in Nike’s back yard in the Portland area for a decade and owned a lot of Nike gear. He lives in our area now, and he is on a one man blocker of Nike with his friends, relatives and just people he knows.
Sad that the CFA Foundation had to drop a just over $100K annual donation to the Salvation Army because it didn’t meet the international corporate globalist lobby donation scheme.
That was CFA’s crushing blow, if that is true.
They will have not only lost a of customers, they will have made life long political enemies.
You may want to read this article on CFA:
Greenfield is one of my favorite oped write, who exposes the reality and danger of the rabid lefties in our life:
This explains how this hard left move by CFA was not a real surprise to those following this company.
A NEW one, Same script as 2016!
I LOVE outing #Resistance trolls here.
Thank you!
“Perkins nails it with this:”
I agree. This reminds me of the 2016 Republican Convention when Ted Cruz said something like “Vote your conscience in November”.
The NeverTrumpers here, in trying to hide their hatred of Trump, made the claim that “...of course Cruz was saying to vote for Trump, since any other vote would support Hillary”.
Well, nice try. If Cruz had FLAT-OUT said to vote for Trump, we wouldn’t have had to deal with a month of recounts and nearly losing the election. I personally know people who stayed home in 2016 because they thought (rightly or wrongly) that Cruz got screwed.
In fact, even the Russia crap would not have carried nearly as much weight if Trump had another 2 million or so votes, so the election wouldn’t have been considered even close.
So here we are with Chick-a-fill. The Leftists here claim that their generic statement of now supporting groups which support ‘their values’ is the same as telling the Left to go to hell regarding the Salvation Army...well, it doesn’t pass the smell test.
To put it another way: WE’RE NOT THAT DUMB.
Yep, a classic.
