Democrats were working on another nothingburger Wednesday with Ambassador Gordon Sondland's testimony. Not only did Sondland admit again that the only direct evidence he has on Trump is Trump's own statement saying he wanted nothing from Ukraine — "no quid pro quo" — but he also had to admit he has zero evidence Trump even tried to connect the military aid to the investigations of 2016 election interference and Burisma.
This exchange between Ohio Rep. Mike Turner and Sondland just destroyed the Democrats' case.
"Is that your testimony today,
Ambassador Sondland, that you have evidence that Donald Trump tied the investigations to the aid? Because I don't think you're saying that." Rep. Turner asked.
"I said repeatedly [...] I was presuming," Sondland noted.
After some more grilling, Congressman Turner asked again, "Is it correct, nobody else on this planet told you that Donald Trump was tying this aid to the investigations? Because if your answer is yes, then the chairman's wrong and the headline on CNN is wrong. No one this planet told you that President Trump was tying aid to investigations, yes or no?"
"Yes," Sondland replied.
"So, you've really have no testimony today that ties President Trump to a scheme to withhold aid from Ukraine in exchange for these investigations?" Turner asked.
"Other than my own presumption," Sondland said.
"Which is nothing," Turner responded.

It’s now more than a presumption that The Schiffster is a total retard.

The ENTIRE testimony has been “I thought...”, “I heard about...”, “I presume...”, “I was told by someone else...”
It has been 100% hearsay.
Well, as much as he huffed and puffed before the committee one can fairly presume Sondland is part of the coup.
Sondland should have said what Trump told him over the phone (I want nothing! I want no Quid Pro Quo!) In his opening statement. That would have denied the media (we’ve got him) talking points that they crammed down our throats all day. Jordan pointed that out during his cross and Sondland replied “It wasn’t intentional”. Why Sondland did that I don’t know.
He flat out was adamant about not wanting to work with Rudy. He felt insulted Trump wanted him to coordinate with Rudy.
Exactly right. Adam Schiff told him.
2nd and 3rd-hand details....little value in a real court. Most people have watched enough real court TV to judge that, and notice the relative minor value.
All of this simply leads to hours of free access video for the Trump campaign to use next summer for the election, and tons of cash donated to the campaign.
Once upon a time it had a nodding acquaintance with hearsay, before opinion and personal prejudices decided to strike off on their own and leave hearsay far behind.
Note that his opening statement didn’t sound like that.
It was worded to sound like he thought Trump had demanded Quid Pro Quo.
Only during cross examination did he admit, that was only a presumption.
This guy was playing fast and loose with the facts, and probably with Schiff’s coaching.
They’re all liars. Luckily a few like minded people (compared to us), have been calling them on it.
The witnesses wind up making Trump look good.

Early life and education
Sondland was born to a Jewish family[4][5] in Mercer Island, Washington,[6] the son of Frieda (Piepsch) and Gunther Sondland.[7][8] His mother fled Germany before the Second World War[9] to Uruguay, where after the war she reunited with his father, who had served in the French Foreign Legion. In 1953, the Sondlands relocated to Seattle where they opened a dry-cleaning business.[10] Sondland has a sister 18 years his senior.[10] He attended the University of Washington but dropped out and became a commercial real estate salesman.[10]
Sondland is a weak minded lefty, useful idiot who doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. Amazing how he went from pole to pole and he has no idea he did it. He needs to be replaced ASAP.
