The Second, Third and Eleventh circuits have all transitioned to a majority of Republican-appointed judges under Trump.
The Senate on Wednesday voted to confirm a second judge in as many days to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, flipping the courts composition to a majority of Republican-appointees.
The Senate voted 80-15 to confirm Florida state Supreme Court Justice Barbara Lagoa to the federal bench. Her vote comes one day after the Senate voted 64-31 to confirm fellow state Supreme Court Justice Robert J. Luck to the same court.
This is the second circuit in as many weeks to transition to a majority of Republican judges, after the Second Circuit shifted to the right with last weeks confirmation of Steven Menashi.
The Eleventh Circuit is also the third appeals court to transition to a majority of GOP-appointed judges during Trumps presidency. Trump has now appointed five of the 12 active judges on the court.

Well...Obama thought wrong.
80 - 15 makes me skeptical
53 - 47 is reassuring
80-15 not good bank it. Any judicial pick that gets more then a few rats is almost certainly a bad pick.

Almost looks like Devine intervention...

Then you will be reassured when Andrew Brasher is confirmed to the 11th CCA. Brasher was confirmed earlier this year to a District Court judgeship by a 52 - 47 vote. I dont think he got a single DemocRAT vote. President Trump has subsequently nominated him to the 11th CCA and that nomination is sitting in Lindsey Grahams Judiciary Committee awaiting his hearing. He will be an outstanding Appeals Court judge and I hope Graham quickly advances his Committee hearing and vote. Hes only in his late 30s and will have decades to make a Constitutionalist impact on the courts. Who knows, maybe hes a future Supreme Court justice.
thanks for that

One more 4 year term for President Trump should lock up most circuit courts for our side for decades.
Yes that is my weakness. Fortunately with bad Trump news lm usually wrong.
You are never right about president Trump!
We need an investment adviser, who is never right. Then, I do the opposite.
If you ever advise on investments please ping me.
Terrance Popp, I love his youtube channel.
100%!!!
Absolutely true about Andrew Brasher. A good personal friend. Ill miss him from the middle District. But he belongs on the 11th Circuit. He, Pryor and Newsome will be an intellectual juggernaut!
80-to-15! Very worrisome...IMHO...
Well thats not true sometimes Im right, l just tend to jump the gun on potentially negative developments. I am not only who thought well thats hes done no coming from this but he just has amazing resilience, praise the lord.
And I love it.
God bless President Trump.
Interestingly, I note that the MSM is NOT carrying this news.
I like to remind Dems who are freaking out about all of President Trump’s judicial appointments that we could not have done it without good old Harry Reid and his unilateral abolishment of the filibuster for judicial nominees.
Dems have a hard time with the concept of what goes around comes around.
If that skill carries over to the market, ping me.
