Company is still privately held by the Cathy family but they’ve put the reins into the hands of a new CEO in 2016, Tim Tassopoulos. He’s the one who made a mealy mouthed statement that suggested that they couldn’t grow in certain markets until they got rid of certain “baggage.”

I suppose that I was a part of that baggage.But now they are rid of me and as far as I am concerned, they can expand to their heart’s content. I have no plans to ever darken their door. However if they think that what they did will satisfy those that are after them, they are headed for a heartbreak.
