Republican Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe said during Tuesday’s impeachment hearing that the use of the accusation of “bribery” has only recently been leveled against President Donald Trump.
Ratcliffe said it was House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who started to refer to the president’s alleged bribery because it was more comprehensible to Americans than “quid pro quo.”

Ratcliffe noted that the word bribery does appear once in the testimony — but not in relation to Trump. “In fact, in these 3,500 pages of sworn testimony in just these ten transcripts released thus far, the word bribery appears in these 3,500 pages exactly one time. Ironically is it appears in a description of not President Trump’s alleged conduct, it appears in a description of [former] Vice President Biden’s alleged conduct … ”
I am not aware of anything that hasn’t backfired.
Maybe they will bring out the Golden Witness with the Hammer of Thor evidence tomorrow!? :)
This horse went lame when DJT released the first transcript and has been spiraling down ever since. The old Adam and Nasty show has caught a STD. They’ll be on penicillin for a while. If stupidity was an art form, these two Picasso’s would be painting something some where. Instead of hanging around creating this crap fest.
They had better get over it fast because they need to nail DJT’s hide to the wall before the IG report comes out.

After yesterday, with all the talk that not a single witless has yet uttered the word ‘bribery’ to describe Trump’s actions, how long will it take for Schiffy to trot out one who uses it 12 times in a sentence or two, as every principal part of speech?
It’ll be both laughable and maddening, because the media indignation will be deafening, despite the transparency of this attempt to mis-characterize.

Schiff wants to attend the next Whistle Blowers Anonymous meeting but they won’t tell him where it is held.
Every dollar given to foreign governments can be considered a bribe because we can withhold the money if they don’t comply with our needs or wishes. It’s done all the time!
Every donation to a politician’s election fund is a bribe.
No one gives them money without an expectation of them.
Especially true of lobbyists.

Maybe that’s why they’re back to “quid pro quo” today.
