Sports Business Daily's John Ourand reported Monday President Trump's re-election campaign is negotiating to buy an ad during the Super Bowl.
The publication said multiple sources had confirmed the talks on the ad, which would be the first national election ad to air during the game in recent memory. The Feb. 2 Super Bowl is the night before the Iowa Caucus.

I would love to see the contractual bits about makegoods....
Nancy scowling....Schiff’s eyes popping....Kaepernick kneeling....gonna be a boffo ad!
Those are the kinds of things you can do when you have a fleet of semis filled with cash!
And not just semis — diesel semis!
“May”? Why is that even a question? Other than some form of illegal, those ad slots should go to the highest bidder.
E*Trade set the low bar for stupid SB ads years ago with their Dancing Monkey ad (”well, we just wasted two million dollars, what are you doing with your money?”).
Heh... that chick was hot. Amazing how the embracing of the spectre of freethinking used to be good for business.
That would be, all of them.
Hmm, must have missed that one... [rustling noises]

Amusing.
The one in the middle looked like Adam Schiff.
Because they’re still negotiating. It’s pretty complicated actually. Because each commercial break during the course of the game has a different value, peaking near the end of the first half. And also they try to avoid having competitors in the same break, you don’t do Bud and Coors back to back. And how big a slot do you want? And here are the current content rules from the NFL. It ain’t just throwing cash down.
Yes she was. I saw the ad when it ran and I think it only ran once which made it legend. It is amazingly prescient. I remember thinking Wow! What the hell was that!?
Of course it’s more complicated than fits in a casual social media comment.
My initial interpretation of “Trump may advertise during game” was in context of “Twitter banned political ads”, so I kinda freaked at the idea that ad slot controllers were deciding _whether_ to _allow_ Trump to advertise. (Of course, that’s the less likely possibility for my brain to latch onto instead of the more obvious “Trump is _considering_ advertising during game”.)
Yup, only once. I’d heard about it lots of times, had never seen it until YouTube started.
Weren’t they going to charge him more than anyone else last year?
I won’t be watching but then the ad isn’t for conservatives.
Werent they going to charge him more than anyone else last year?
All political campaigns pay the lowest rate charged to anyone else. A perk they wrote into law for themselves a long time ago.
