Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), speaking to Fox News’ Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday,” refused to let the anchor railroad him or put forward an anti-Trump agenda regarding the ongoing impeachment hearings against the president.
It’s worth reading their fiery exchange word for word to see what went on here — and how Scalise pushed back hard against a certain line of questioning and reasoning to set the record straight.
“David Holmes,” said Wallace, is “the American official in Ukraine who says he overheard a conversation between the president and Gordan Sondland on July 26, the day after President Trump and President Zelensky [of Ukraine] spoke [this past summer]. Holmes told members of Congress in his sworn testimony he asked whether the president cares about Ukraine. He says, “Sondland told him Mr. Trump only cares about big stuff that benefits the president, like the Biden investigation.”
“Doesn’t that contradict the president’s story, sir?” said Wallace. “‘All the president cared about was going after the Bidens.'”
Why couldn’t he go after the Bidens? Democrats are going after Trump,
Chris, why the double standard?
I never could stand that little weasel Wallace. I’ll never forget how pissed I was when Fox hired that prick. I have never watched him.
I think any conservative on the show with Chris Wallace should be required to reach over and slap him firmly about once or twice each minute.
If only he was as tough on Democrats as he is on Republicans...

If it looks like a weasel, acts like a weasel , and talks like a weasel, it's probably a weasel.
Wallace is so clearly NOT interested in uncovering facts and finding out what happened. Wallace is pushing a Narrative. He’s paid to push a Narrative. I’d lay odds that Wallace is on the CIA payroll. Facts mean nothing to him — he’s on a mission to take down the President.
I recommend that people click through and read the entire exchange and watch it (video is at the end). Scalise destroyed Chris Wallace, and Wallace tried as hard as he could to smear the President.

Weasel is right. He really likes to blindside his guests with his cute little gotcha questions, and then cut them off when they try to untwist the loaded questions he fired at them.

Not surprised that Rep. Scalise stomped all over little Chrissy. That said, I gave up watching that panty-waist years ago. Him, Shep, Cavuto, etc...mainly watch Lou Dobbs and Trish Regan. Occasionally, Hannity, and Ingraham.
He really is - I think he’s gotten more virulent the longer Trump hangs in there against the swamp/DS.
Scalise was shot by a Democrat while playing baseball. It’s funny that LW newscasters are still attacking him.
Cringe-Vuto is no longer required on Fox Business News.

Wallace is auditioning for a new job and new network when his present contract runs out.
