As Chick-fil-A expands globally and into more liberal parts of the U.S., the chicken chain plans to change which charities it donates to after years of bad press and protests from the LGBT community.
Beginning next year, Chick-fil-A will move away from its current philanthropic structure, Bisnow has learned. After donating to more than 300 charitable organizations this year, the Atlanta-based fast-food chain will instead focus on three initiatives with one accompanying charity each: education, homelessness and hunger.

Chick-fil-a made this same announcement several years ago after a dustup with leftists, that they would stop donating to such charities, but apparently that didn’t happen. I wonder if this will be the same case.
From the article. I read this as Chick-fil-A has simply changed the method by which donations to those 3 organizations will be given.
“The new giving structure moves away from the multiyear commitments Chick-fil-A had with the Salvation Army and the FCA and focuses on annual grants, which Tassopoulos said will be reviewed and assessed each year. Future partners could include faith-based and non-faith-based charities, but the company said none of the organizations have anti-LGBT positions.”
Maybe we should take a page out of ‘their’ playbook.
The Harris Teeter I use also has a starbucks. (I have informally ‘mentioned’ my dislike of starbucks in the store)
Maybe if all of us ‘like minded people’ sought out the store manager and pointed out that despite the presence of starbucks you like shopping there BUT that could change.
The only difference between us & them, we won’t picket outside the store or harrass people coming in - at least not violently.
I realize the store manager basically has NOTHING to do with whoever Corporate puts in there but if enough of them ‘mention it’ and it gets up to the guy that REALLY DEPENDS on the last penny of every dollar getting into his pocket, it may make a difference.
After all, HE/SHE is giving ‘them’ 99 cents to play with- just don’t mess with HIS/HER penny....
It will be demanded that CFA do “penance” by donating huge sums to radically pro-homo organizations, for several years before they will be granted absolution.
There you go with facts!
Maybe CFA should hold “Drag Queen Story Time” events in their restaurants now as well.
Or make their restrooms “unisex”.
Maybe hire drag Queens to help little boys go to the bathroom.

Good point BUT it probably won’t work that way.
Once they have ‘destroyed’ the business, they will move on to their next target with the ONLY consequence they are ‘worried’ about is destroying or at least knocking them down a peg or two.

Covenant House International was embroiled in a HUGE scandal years ago. The Catholic Priest who founded it (supposedly to rescue homeless teens from a life of sexual exploitation) was himself found guilty of sexually abusing those teens.
My grandmother had given them large amounts of money before this happened and she was FURIOUS! Granted different people are in charge now, but the brand is stained beyond repair. Really they should have shut this down.

The Salvation Army is noteworthy for having the among lowest administrative costs and the among highest percentage of donations going to the intended beneficiaries. But that is not good enough for Mr, Tassopoulos.
Our society is becoming increasingly sick.
The inexorable march to shame Christianity out of existence continues.
