Washington doesnt represent the American people anymore, because the bureaucrats and elected officials in Washington pursue their own self-serving agendas rather than doing what is objectively right for the country Congress [has] only one problem that theyre serious about solving and thats getting reelected.
Those are strong words from Congressman Ken Buck. In his book Drain the Swamp, he gives an insiders look into the rampant corruption in Congress. From outright ignoring the Constitution, to dead laws that never die, passing laws through intimidation, to purposefully creating problems so they can cash in.
Its troubling how easily people are distracted by the smoke and mirrors, the staged drama, and the promise of money, from our government. If only more would look behind the curtain. Buck writes:
The federal government is supposed to be small. Its power is supposed to limited. The United States is supposed to be a union of largely sovereign states Our founders default position was to keep power as far from Washington as possible.
The scary truth is that they dont want you to know this. Why? Then they lose the power they gave themselves. The power we turned a blind eye to.
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction, Ronald Reagan warned. We didnt pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same.

The events that have occurred over the past decades that reveal the deep state has split this nation in half. Especially in the last few years. There’s no going back. If you are for this country being run by a select few then you are incredibly stupid or complicent. The useful idiots are the cannon fodder of the communists. We cannot rely on our elected officials to preserve our liberties anymore. If we cannot organize and get out into the streets to demonstrate our grievances and force the maggots back under the rocks that they hide under then we are doomed to failure and defeat. Then you better get used to gulags and even worse fates.

The power struggle started right from the beginning, from banker barons and the Bank of the United States, to railroad barons, to oil barons, and today, internet barons.
Most politicians have always been for sale, and they’ve always had buyers. Small government is the ideal we never really had.
Having listened to the speech AG Barr made at the Federalist Society last week, I'd say he's not a believer in the above concept. Not at all. Sadly, this does not surprise me. Not at all.
