LibertyWoman, I agree and applaud your views on President Reagan. The best there ever was and, sadly, the best there ever will be.

I don't know about that. I was born in 1985, so I wasn't 'aware' of Reagan's presidency; I felt that Trump had already surpassed Reagan within 6 months in office.

Reagan was magnificent, but he governed in a different era. He never had to face anything like the current Democratic Communist party allied with permanent bureaucracy Deep State seditionists who have mounted the “Resistance” coup against the people’s choice. His own party, while not particularly thrilled with him in total, was not so heavily populated with quisling, terrified “Vichy” Republicans as we see today. Their ties to the permanent political and government class were not as strong as the RINO Never Trumpers of today.

Reagan’s biggest issue, which only became apparent in retrospect, was his choice of one of the original globalist Deep Staters as vice-president. That turned out to be devastating.

Trump is Reagan’s equivalent in many ways, yet he is doing so in the height of internal crisis, with the dogs of resistance (the attempt to permanently institute a Leftist dictatorship) hounding him mercilessly. He is in this way like Lincoln, with an existential crisis besieging his efforts, but this time the revolutionaries are the pre-eminent power within his own government. This places Trump at a singular and unique position in our history. He might literally be the last president of a republic form of government if he cannot succeed and if the people of the nation are careless and unworthy.
