If they serve at the pleasure of the president, he doesn’t have to give a reason.
And she can sue him and he still is not required to give a reason and she knows it!

I’ve been wondering just HOW and WHY State Department personnel get to be ambassadors. As long as I can remember, it’s always been someone a president favored from large campaign donations, a golfing buddy - whatever! I’m just surprised that she was a career State Department employee who was chosen to be an ambassador so many times. Maybe I’ve just forgotten how the game is played. Funny that we’re expected to believe that anyone with 30+ years in a government job means they were exemplary employees deserving of no criticism at all - deserving a job until they hang it up.

There was a lot of that going on today. Speier from CA did a lot of that with her questions. I particularly liked her giving her own opinion and then asking the witness to “expand on that.” HUH? It’s your question/opinion - expand on it yourself.
I couldn’t help but notice how uncomfortable the witness became when questioned about Manifort and his role in Ukraine. I’m not sure I followed the line of questions but her body language spoke volumes.
She was utterly discredited by the Republicans during their question time
I missed the afternoon session. So glad they did because Chris Wallace and all the rest of them were giddy with her morning testimony that Trump was mean to her.
