“politically appointed” and”career” must explain why I thought they were always “appointed” because of favoritism and not from the troops at the state department.

Apparently, democrats can make up their own rules, change the goal posts to suit themselves, lie, and do anything else they want. Republicans, of course, do NOT have the same rights. Why? Because the press runs everything. You can bet, that if the MSM told the truth, most public opinion would lean to the right. It’s unfortunate, but many people are sheeple. If you could strap leftists into a chair, and force them to watch real news and real history, a good number would have an epiphany. Alas and alack...
You get the picture of just how indoctrinated the left is if you listen to the discussions that take place on C Span before hearings etc., begin. The people call in identifying themselves on the democrat or republican line and the left spouts item after item exactly the same way they are fed. The moderator never flinches - just listens and goes on to the next call. The leftists calling in couldn’t put their points together if their lives depended on it but spoon fed - no problem!
Liberals are such liars. A little thing like that -— calling in on the conservative line, then spouting the liberal crap -— they have no sense of fair play OR honor. But SHAME on C-Span for not hanging up as soon as they start. Of course, THEY’RE probably liberals, too. At least they can’t censor out the republican parts of the hearing, or I’m sure they would.

The call wasn’t called in on the conservative line - I was merely laying out the format - two lines - one for democrats and one for Republicans.. The moderator isn’t there to correct or argue with the callers. I really don’t know what the purpose of the whole thing is now that you mention it. Just to kill time before a program starts, I guess. I have never watched it for any length of time - just to see how soon the programming is starting.
