A former adviser to President George W. Bush has proposed a way for Senate Republicans to remove President Trump from office while avoiding accountability from angry Republican voters.
Juleanna Glover is a veteran Washington hostess, lobbyist, and strategist who has worked on the staffs of Bush, former Vice President Dick Cheney, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Glover also advised Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain during his 2008 presidential run.
Glover, 50, a longtime Trump critic who supported independent candidate Evan McMullin in 2016, proposed a strategy for Senate Republicans to oust Trump should the House follow through with impeaching the president. In an article for Politico, Glover wrote that a handful of outgoing Republicans could take all the political heat and force the Senate to adopt a secret vote on the articles of impeachment passed in the House.

Easy enough to get around. Should the Senate vote to go into closed session in order to vote on impeachment, it only takes 1 Senator to move the roll call vote be published in the Congressional Record. That would be a recorded vote. So if pubbies vote to not publicize the impeachment vote, you know who voted against Trump.

Which circles back to my question: Can Mitt and a few traitors side with all the rats and pass the rule to make it a secret vote with a wink from Mitch? So it takes one Senator to demand it be put in the record. Well big deal, it’s not as if the official record would be broadcast. My gut tells me this is so outrageous they wouldn’t dare try it. Not with Trump in the 90’s with the base.

Then, you can put forth your plan to oust Trump via a secret ballot, but, with all voters in the U.S. taking part. That’s the best and legal way to do it.

The House will probably have a vote but it will fail.
If it goes to the Senate, then the Senate gets to investigate the corruption that Trump was worried about.
The Senate gets to investigate the Bidens and Barisma. They get to investigate the funds that got sent to Kerry’s son’s business. They get to investigate how much Schiff colluded to cobble this charge together.
They can’t let it go to a Senate trial. It will wreck the Democrats to do so. They have to vote it down.
Yep, if they go against the will of the people, then the republic has been lost and no laws apply.
