Personally, I save all the fat and skin, render the fat (both chicken & beef) and make crackling from the chicken skin. Improves all gravies and the chicken or beef fat is superior to butter, ghee, or oil for sauteing in many sauces and rice dishes.
But you’re right: I’ve never seen either on an ingredient list.
Did a search and came up empty. Maybe it goes into pet food.
