Actress and political activist Jane Fonda has said that she's not purchasing any more clothes as a way to fight climate change but declined to respond when asked if she's giving up air travel.
Fonda attributed her decision to stop purchasing clothes to Greta Thunberg, a youth climate change activist, who has been traveling to speaking engagements by boat due to the carbon emissions from air travel.
During her most recent "Fire Drill Friday" climate action protest in Washington, Fonda was asked if she is going to give up air travel like Thunberg but she did not respond. Fonda also declined to respond when asked for her opinion of Thunberg's boycott of air travel.

She is giving up flying? Did her broom break or something?
NOT FONDA JANE
She is giving up clothing because she doesn’t like homosexuals who designed them
No, the question is if Jane Fonda thinks we should give up flying to combat Climate Change.
Whoever asked that ridiculous question needs to start reading the memos.
People her age cannot tolerate the stress of flying anymore.
Way to go the extra mile with your sacrifices, Hanoi Jane....
She’s going to fly, but make up for it by joining the Sheryl Crow “One Piece Of Toilet Paper” club.
Send her up with just enough fuel not to make it
That’s right because giving up air travel is only for the little people.
You know, the ones the elites want to control.
No, she wants the rest of us to give up flying to combat climate change. It’s a difficult sacrifice that she’s willing to make.
GMTA!
Funny but probably true.
For a low carbon footprint, let’s send Hanoi Jane and Greta off together in a military surplus rubber boat. Give them a star map, bottled tap water, Snickers bars, beef jerky, cans of Spam and salt tablets. And a copy of Das Kapital. Bon voyage.
Since she was in North Vietnam while I was in South Vietnam, I would rather she gave up breathing.
I can wait. I still have a six pack with her name on it. I will process it over her grave.
Let’s see if I can play “Guess The Fur”.
Ermine, Chinchilla and Mink.
The real stuff, not made from recycled plastic.
Right off of the top of my head, I would say that travel by boat is much more expensive due to the added drag on/by water. Therefore, the carbon emissions would be greater.
As ol' Forrest Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does."
Mmmmm...let me answer that for ms antiaircraft gunner....ummmmm no....
“Snickers bars, beef jerky, cans of Spam and salt tablets.”
Nah. Just give them a spear and tell them that they are going to be locavores on this trip.
