There are thirteen judges on the 2nd Circuit (encompasses New York, Connecticut, Vermont).
There are currently six democrat appointees (3 Clinton, 3 Obama), six republican appointees (2 George W, 4 Trump) and one vacancy.
Cloture was agreed to on Steven Menashi today!
When he is confirmed, the 2nd Circuit will have flipped.
And this ain't the south. This is the NEW YORK circuit.

True. But now that conservatives are taken more seriously and that group is picking them. We should have better outcomes.
I’m not so sure that conservatives are picking the field for Trump. We’ll see how Kavanaugh and Gorsuch pan out, particularly on the queer agenda.

4th ckt has two old judges on each side. So 4th on verge of flipping. 80 yr old on 10th moves on will give us a 6-6 tie.

I did some reading last weekend about Bork. Biden and Kennedy attacked him because he defended the Constitution.
Thomas they said it was about sexual harassment. Kavanaugh, it was about rape.
But they showed their cards with Bork. The Constitution is their enemy and they will fight to destroy it.
RBG called in sick today. I trust Scalia’s judgment on her personality. I trust my own eyes on her forcing her anti-constitutional political agenda on our nations.
In the 9th court, among active judges, the count will still be 16 Democrats and 13 Republicans. But including senior judges, who will hear the big appeals, it will be a Democrat majority of only 1. On the other hand, the senior Republicans include many very elderly judges, and possibly some NeverTrumpers.
When is the last time 2 was conservative?
The problem is that he can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Judges are all we will ever get out of him, and there's no reason to be satisfied with that.

Abortion and guns. That’s what it’s about because those issues are the most fundamental. If you’re wrong on abortion it tells everyone you don’t value the lives of individuals.

This is a battle to determine whether or not our civilization becomes a nihilist wasteland, or if it acknowledges God’s truth that lives matter.

Yeah, I can appreciate curbing one’s enthusiasm—so-called Republicans are useless and traitors. That said, for those of us in the people’s republic of the north east, the court flip is encouraging news. BTW, those so-called Republicans need to grow a pair and just change their party to baby-killing/euthanizing demoNcrat once and for all. And good riddance—we never had any use for you anyway. Yeah, that means you “spirit of John McCain.”
