Cause hes a BART cop
Just like a mall cop only dumber
Typical communist entitled buffoon.
Really have no context what happened prior to this either.
Check your settings. The cop comes in loud and clear. He was holding the bag to detain him.
If the democRATS haven't made California unlivable yet, they are trying real hard to make it so.
Please describe in what way the man eating a sandwich was not acting like a civilized human being. And what evidence do you have that what was on the video is not the whole story? One of the cops was caught in a blatant lie on camera and BART has already apologized for the incident so what other info do you have.?
Heyzoos.... wow.
Yes, that cop certainly was. All of them.
He was not obligated to identify himself and the cops deserved the attitude. The sandwich eater was brilliant. Bravo. He handled those caps very well.
You can argue all you want about eating or not eating the sandwich on the train platform, but the man doesn't have to give his name to the police.
And neither would you have had to give your name. See how that works?
Bart has already apologized for the incident. I'd like to see the outcome of the arrest. California is already releasing tons of criminals onto the streets because their prisons are overcrowded.
I don' think they need to add another hardened criminal sandwich eater to the prison population.
Did the cop tell him which law he was breaking, or did he just tell him he was breaking the law?
Everyone who is informed and is intelligent know that the police are legally allowed to lie with impunity.
He should have dropped a deuce. They would have left him alone
Unreal. This is the problem with all these laws. They give the cops a pretext to harass whomever they want. I can actually see a safety issue - lots of sandwich drippings might make a slippery platform which might cause a dangerous situation. But it seems like selective prosecution. Littering, yes. Loitering, yes. But is it legal to eat on the train? Is it legal to eat in the station where they sell food? But not on the platform itself. A little bit weird. I’ve taken the pacific surfliner a few times recently and they actually still sell and serve food on that particular train. So it seems a bit confusing.
All that said, the guy just needed to be a little less combative. “I’m sorry officer, I had no idea it was illegal to eat here. I didn’t see the sign. They sold me this food in the terminal. I will gladly move inside the terminal to finish my meal” probably would have avoided a lot of this nonsense.
What a dilemma.
I think it’s funny at the 11 minute mark they take him downstairs and sit him on the bench right in front of the food vendors.
I’ve never understood how you can be arrested for resisting arrest.
I wouldn’t live in that crap hole if it was the last place on Earth. I refuse to go there for business.
should of pitched a tent and aid he had no where else to go. if he had done that the police would of let him just be.
That’s not quite what I meant.
He was in the wrong. All he needed to do was say sorry, put it back in the bag and wail untill after the train trip to finish it.
And as they are craping inthevstreetsvthey can pull up their pants and finish it later.
Sandwich guy doesnt seem to be as subservient as you.
