The guy eating the sandwich had no obligation to give the cop his name. This is not the Soviet Union. People have rights in America.

You can argue all you want about eating or not eating the sandwich on the train platform, but the man doesn't have to give his name to the police.

And neither would you have had to give your name. See how that works?

Bart has already apologized for the incident. I'd like to see the outcome of the arrest. California is already releasing tons of criminals onto the streets because their prisons are overcrowded.

I don' think they need to add another hardened criminal sandwich eater to the prison population.

Incorrect. Eating was a minor violation and he can be cited. The officer has probable cause and can arrest him if he refuses ID. If they wanted to cite him and he refused his name, he can be arrested and he was.
