Also a good time to remember that the MSM is totally worthless. Around 1973-1980 we were confidently told it was settled science that the fossil fuel in the entire planet was quickly running down to nothing. Top geologist experts concluded no major finds would be forthcoming as we had depleted all there were.
Oil would soon run out and we’d be on bicycles and even a form of human pedaled rickshaw.
Even with severe restrictions of gas consumption and heat in homes we were doomed.
Robert J. Ringer (Libertarian who wrote Looking Out For #1) said as soon as the gas prices went up another dollar at the pumps they would discover more oil reserves. A miracle.
Funny.
lol
How much oil is in this oversize rock we call earth!??
We’ve been told we’re running out since I was a kid in the 70s :)
That’s just a weird coincidence. :^)
If Iran found a massive new oil field, it; still needs to develop it, transport the crude, refine it, sell it, and transport it to the customer. Then there's the not so little aspect of supply & demand likely lowering the price of oil should this come about.
So whoop-de-do, Iran. Go for it.
“Greta Thunberg.. Greta Thunberg.. please come to a yellow courtesy phone!”
What’s that in the mirror? Oh, it’s MY ASS.

50 billion barrels is about 500 days of world consumption.
There won’t be any survivors. 11.2 years and it is all over for everybody but lichens. Total destruction.
Turns out this giganitic, almost unbelievable oil discovery is near their missile launch site. No, I can't substantiate that, I'm just doing the setup, so don't write in, okay?
Unless it has the porosity of Ghawar (Saudi Field) the actual recoverable reserves will be much less. My guess is that the Iranians are quoting reserves in place not recoverable reserves. Also the average API of Iranian crude is much lower than Saudi so less desirable.
Iranian oppression of Shia Arabs in Iran will continue
How Dare They Find This Evil Carbon Based Energy!
