Roy Moore is completely undesirable
It's the establishment once again warning Sessions that they will come after him again if he supports Trump.
The last time they did that, Sessions was the AG nominee.
How'd that turn out?
How will Sessions act this time if he were to become the nominee? Would he immediately buckle to the Deep State again?
Why should anybody trust Sessions?
Basically its the establishment that are now targeting Jeff Sessions.
*****************************************************
Targeting Sessions? Hell, theyre PROMOTING him. Hes THEIR MAN!
Tummerville is going to win the primary. A man of faith and balls to go with it.
Sessions still is a favorite among the better informed hereabouts.
And Senator Shelby? He preferred progressive Democrat Doug Jones over the GOP nom the last time around. That is even harder to believe. Isnt it?

It should be, but it’s not.
Whenever the citizens have prevailed with a candidate in the primary, the establishment GOP supports the Democrat.
It has happened repeatedly in NV, DE, MO, etc.
Tuberville .....siri!
Just to be clear. You're saying that a man who has spent most of his adult life involved with politics, including 20 years in the US Senate had no idea about the coup?
Just one more reason why he should not be a Senator. He doesn't have a clue about what's going on around him.
Sessions should have enough time in to draw a US Government pension of something like 125K-150K a year.
He should go back to Bama and go fishing.
Say what you will about Sessions.. we need that Senate seat.
Hopefully Tuberville does win. I bet that we were headed that way until the self-center elf came back into the picture, putting everything at risk. He's the Keebler Fudgie in the punch bowl.
Roy Moore is completely undesirable
Did Senator Shelby’s favorite candidate, progressive Democrat Doug Jones, vote for Kavanaugh? I don’t recall.
The most likely outcome is the conservative vote is split among Tuberville and Mooney (endorsed by Levin and Rand). Then Sessions wins the primary with establishment support. It’s the old divide the base GOPe playbook, of course.
“Sen. Doug Jones, a self-styled centrist Democrat from one of the most conservative states in the union, announced Thursday evening that he would vote against confirming Judge Brett Kavanaugh”

I bet that posters who could best chronicle, using real sources, what had happened during Sessions time as AG, don't think that Sessions should run.
It’s a good thing that real people from Alabama will be voting for him instead of Swamp Rats. A “hostage video” to a Swamp Rat is a video of a ‘good guy who loves President Trump” to real people.
I saw Jeff on with Tucker Carlson last night and he acquitted himself very well. I would vote for him.
If Sessions loses the primary, then its a moot point. But the GOPs chances of regaining that seat are far better than with Moore.
Your memory is correct. It is so common for once FR favorites to hurdle into the abyss here. And then "group think" takes over.
I recall thinking when he recused himself from the Russia Investigation that he did so from a sense of integrity but that it would come back to bite him. And it did. But that mistake, in my mind, doesn't doom him in the manner he is now vilified.
Something about "casting stones".
He made a mistake. But that hasn't diminished his worth as a US Senator in my eyes. If I lived in Alabama I would have no problem supporting his Senate run if nominated.
@Teacher317, watch the long knives come out headed for my back for not going along with the "Group Think" that permeates FR these days.
Sad!
