Well, the last time around we certainly got use to Senator Shelby and the GOP campaigning for progressive Democrat Doug Jones.
This is normal primary campaign debating. Don’t get your knickers in a twist just yet. If Sessions isn’t strong enough to survive criticism of his aborted AG stint he deserves to lose, frankly.
Rosenstein was hopelessly conflicted on FISA and Sessions never insisted he recuse himself. There is a rumor that Sessions told POTUS he might resign if Rotten Rod was fired. I don’t know if that is true.
I agree with you. It looks as if a lot of people on this forum prefer Doug Jones over Sessions. Hard to believe.
And Senator Shelby? He preferred progressive Democrat Doug Jones over the GOP nom the last time around. That is even harder to believe. Isn’t it?

I can understand why he thought he should recuse himself because he IS such an honorable man. There is no way he could have known the extent of the fascist plot brewing to take down a legally elected President. Had he been warned ahead of time that he was simply being used as a pawn to get McCabe, Rosenstein, and Mueller’s plan to take down President Trump, he would NOT have recused himself. Remarkably, Sessions wouldn’t even speak out last night on Tucker’s show. He even spoke about the coup in the past tense as POTUS is being impeached. Unbelievable. Its like he’s already running the general election and doesn’t care to contest the primary.
