A federal judge in New York on Wednesday struck down a new Trump administration rule that would have allowed health care clinicians to refuse to provide abortions for moral or religious reasons.
U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer of the Southern District of New York rejected the federal rule after women's groups, health organizations and multiple states sued the Department of Health and Human Services, arguing the exemptions were unconstitutional.

"The refusal of care rule was an unlawful attempt to allow health care providers to openly discriminate and refuse to provide necessary health care to patients based on providers religious beliefs or moral objections," New York Attorney General Letitia James, who led the lawsuit for the states, said. "We will continue to use every tool at our disposal to protect access to health care and protect the rights of all individuals.

Full title: Federal judge strikes down rule allowing clinicians to object to abortions for moral or religious reasons
PING
Because we live in a free country?
Democrat Fascist Party in action
Utterly no compelling societal interest in forcing anyone to perform an abortions against their will. There are hundreds of Drs who will willing committee infanticide for this Fascist Judge
While the whites and blacks are killing their babies the Muslim population is exceedingly multiplying like jack rabbits there! GOOD BYE ny it was nice knowing you!! Just to think that when 9-11 happened NY was loved by the whole country....and now hated to the core!!
I wonder if the Feral Judge realises that if a concerned citizen realized that he was going to kill a child that the usage of lethal force to stop him would have more legal standing than him being able to force another person to murder.
Eff his Gaystapo.
Judge has heart attack, Doctors sit by and watch, do nothing.
Oh yeah, John Roberts. The ultimate ball less judge ever.
No, we live in an corrupt Oligarchy that is run by unelected bureaucrats that use and infest our Judaical System and Branch.
“...that would have allowed health care clinicians to refuse to provide abortions for moral or religious reasons...”
Hey federal judge...how about I don’t need a reason!
So the 1st Amendment is now kaput? Psycho hose beast judge strikes again. Allowing moral or religious based objections to performing abortions is not a new thing. Why is it now suddenly a constitutional crisis?
There! Fixed it.
Remember in November 2020!
MAGA! Now KAG! (Keep America Great!)
So this judge says you can force people to kill babies. Wow talk about evil. Using this ruling you could force every clinic to do abortions.
Normal people have a lot of nerve believing that the First Amendment protects their God-given right to the free exercise of religion. It’s a good thing this Obama judge was there to protect them from that misunderstanding of the Constitution’s penumbra.
How totally depraved must a soul be to see murder of an alive, sensing human being as ‘healthcare’. The legacy of the depraved dead soul obamaroid regime.
What about “thou shalt do no harm”?
It’s also compelled speech.
An abomination. Completely nuts.
“Utterly no compelling societal interest in forcing anyone to perform an abortions against their will.”
I think if a doctor told me he didn’t want to perform an operation, I’d say, “Okay, thank you.” Who would want a doctor working on them because they forced him to? Or, am I misunderstanding this?
Can a physician refuse to administer lethal drugs for a state ordered execution? What about assisted suicide?
Dems should drop all pretense and just advocated for bringing back “Life unworthy of life.” Only requirement to be judged unworthy is to have a parent say-so.
He was a Constitutional scholar after all.
