Opinions | Trump is in trouble. Tuesday’s elections are proof.

President Trump is in a whole lot of trouble. Andy Beshear, who has claimed victory in the Kentucky governors race, showed that Democrats prosper when they focus on what he called kitchen-table issues. In Virginia, voters demonstrated that support for gun control is now an asset, not a liability, in American politics.
More broadly: Railing against impeachment and attacking Democrats as socialists wont get the job done for Republicans when the GOP finds itself on the wrong end of questions such as health care and education.

These elections only prove the Trump army will turn out for Trump and no one else. They’ll show up in force come the presidential election and vote R down ticket too.

So this biased bozo ignores the MS governorship, MS legislature, down the ballot R sweep in Kentucky, five seat pickup in New Jersey, supermajority in the LA legislature and a desperate Dem in next week’s LA runoff. But he has the KY governorship (maybe) and a Virginia whose northern counties are infested by overpaid federal bureaucrats.

Nope. Real analysis would show this total fanasty land
GOP swept the other KY races. Bevin lost because he was a moron. GOP actually increased their over all vote totals
Dems, despite spending a forune lost badly in MS despite running a guy who been AG since 2003
Va been a blue state the last 3 elections. Trump did not even bother to go there since it is a lost cause

Ya gotta admit, he does a fine impression of Elizabeth Warren, though. Pretty much spot-on.

Politics is still mostly local, if you suck, regardless of party, you’re out.

Voters are rejecting President Trump's agenda, and therefore, him.
- Two New Jersey Congressional districts flipped to Republican.
- Texas banned state income taxes.
- Kentucky Republicans swept statewide races except the Governor, taking the Attorney General office for the first time since 1944 with Kentucky's first black Attorney General.
- Tucson rejected sanctuary city status.
- Washington state rejected affirmative action, which would allow characteristics such as race, sex, color, ethnicity, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status to be used as factors when considering a person for public education or public employment opportunities.

E.J. Dionne. Little Napoleon Complex.
Her reminds of some little whimp who was bullied in grade school and grew up as an adult with an inferiority complex and a lisp. Nervous twit.
George Soros poured $80 million into Virginia to turn it all blue. So now we know not to travel to Virginia for any reason.
Kentucky governor was a one and out.
And Dionne says Trump is in a whole lot of trouble for 2020. Hahahahahaha.

Bevin was great! The problem is that he proved what I’ve been saying for decades: The reason we, as a civilization, are screwed is because even if a politician DOES rise through the ranks and makes the tough decisions necessary to control our runaway government spending will get handily booted out by the voters because they don’t want the pain.
My theory was proven with Bevin. He was turning things around mightily, but it pissed off government employees, especially teachers. That cooked his goose.
