The mitigations are the Kentucky governor’s battle, which as of Wednesday morning the Associated Press said was too close to call, though other outlets called it for the Democrat — and the loss of both houses of the Virginia legislature for the first time in 20 years.

From the little I’m hearing out of over there, I’m hoping it more than just a “shoe in”. I’m hoping its a total blowout by any definition of the word. I was over there last week and saw just a couple of Edwards signs along the road. Rispone signs were everywhere. Yeah....a complete blowout would be great!

Yep. I suspect it will go more along the lines of like Oregon did rather than California. But it will eventually just deteriorate into Venezuela rather quickly once they run out of other peoples’ money. With ALL other races for offices, how can the Governor’s numbers be SO different? Makes little sense. No coincidences.

1. The Governor was very unpopular with Republicans in general.
2. 10-15 thousand or so decided to not vote for governor at all.
3. Those missing votes cost him the election.

Good idea but only if the the third party garnered more votes than the difference between the first and second place candidates.
Lighten up. What I said about the found boxes of ballots, etc was a joke. Elections are all about turnout so I agree that those who sat home were and are idiots.
This is a perfect example of the phrase, “we will get the government we deserve”. I have no sympathy for what is coming down the road if our side doesn’t pull their collective heads out of their asses and start fighting back.
...sadly, I agree.... moved to the Commonwealth from “Up Nawth” and lived there for almost a half-century. Still consider it “home”...but I am reminded of that old axiom that for the most part, a people gets the government that it deserves. Virginia was solidly conservative when we moved there but gradually, it became more “purple” and now it is blue...just wait until all of these liberal SOBs start implementing their “gun control” measures...you’ll think you’re living in another country.....wishing you all the best of luck from The Lone Star State.....!
