Unofficial results vote showed the proposal to remove King's name received nearly 70% of the vote, with just over 30% voting to retain King's name. I believe this would be called a resounding win for removal.
Let's see how long it takes the gubermint to remove his name from the Peoples boulevard.

Civil rights leaders who pushed for the change celebrated when the street signs went up, believing they had finally won a decades-long battle to honor King, which appeared to end Kansas City's reputation as one of the largest U.S. cities in the country without a street named for him...Because everyone must act in lockstep and because diversity only applies to Prog ideals. The rest of you can STFU.

Most black urban areas have streets named after their heroes in the struggle so to speak

I'm in favor of renaming these streets after Dr. King.
It lets me know what area to avoid when I'm in an unfamiliar city.

Let’s face it. MLK and his content of their character notion is long past abandoned. Today it is identity politics pervasively.

Why is it always Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard?
I've never seen a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue,
Or a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street,
Or a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Highway,
Or a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Place, Road, Circle...

Get the damn statue that Obama had made out of the Capital. Put it in his home town.
To: Yo-Yo
If they want to name it after a known womanizer change it to Bill Clinton Blvd.

Kansas City could rename Prospect Avenue to MLK Drive. There doesn’t seem to be anything special about that name. Or, if it is so important for Cleaver to have a street named for King, he could suggest that the street named for him be changed to King Boulevard.

Get the damn statue that Obama had made out of the Capital. Put it in his home town. There is no statue of King in the U.S. Capitol building. There is a bust, and it's been there since 1986.

The statue is in the Capital. And it is way more than a bust.
Note that Capital and Capitol have different meanings.

Whatever KC does, I’m sure certain members of the King family will want a licensing fee for use of the name.
