Well, a Democrat won the NC Governor’s race back in ‘16. With the legislature solidly Republican, nothing has happened since then. I suspect that it will be the same in Kentucky.

Sounds like the GOP country clubbers got in a huff about some comment Bevin made and delivered this one to the Dems. No doubt they will hypocritically vote for Mitch “We’ll repeal Obamacare Root and Branch” McConnell next year.

A lot of L’s seem to be “rebelling” against the GOP a lot of the time with their votes. Many L’s used to be R’s. It’s something to think about for sure.
Maybe some of the others who said exactly the same thing I said could share their thoughts as well.

From what I am understanding from people who live in Kentucky Bevin did some really stupid stuff I am guessing that these 30,000 voters could NEVER vote Dem BUT maybe Bevin really pissed them off so they voted Libertarian Bevin evidently didn’t help himself AND if Trump had not come his loss would have been worse!!! Problem is Trump went out on a limb for this guy and evidently Bevin said some really STUPID remarks!,,
And the media begins its onslaught about how Bevin losing is a sign that Trump is toast next year. They are claiming that his rally boosted Democrat turnout and helped put the Democrat over the top.

Unfortunately the NC GOP lost their supermajority in both the state house and senate in the 2018 midterms . They still have a majority in both and so the phony moderate Gov Cooper can be checked, but they can no longer override him. He recently vetoed a bill that would have compelled local authorities to honor ICE detainees, and the GOP can’t override him.
So unless the GOP has legislative superiorities in KY, then Beshear will be able to do some harm.

The republican candidates are just awful
and the ‘rats are even worse
So I voted for the loan libertarian guy, my protest vote, if he wasn’t on the ticket, I would have left that entire slate blank, I voted to vote no on the questions. To me, those are the worse.
Partially, but they are also rebelling against what they see as GOP social conservatism which many L’s are against.
It’s a pure Alinsky confidence trick. Hold non establishment GOP candidates to standards the Democrats never ask of their candidates. That’s why the Dems win and the GOP is called the Stupid Party.
