Good idea.
An excellent idea...
Jim Jordan is the best of the best. I hope he gets the go-ahead for the Intelligence Committee.
If they put Jordan in a prominent spot, then they are finally serious about pushing back on this for real. Up until now they’ve just been whining while they get steamrollered.
Jordan is good. However, the fact the existing Republicans on the Intelligence Committee are incapable of defending the president is another glaring example of the inability of the current GOP to adequately represent the interests of conservatives and those who wish to preserve the contract between the people and government enshrined in the Constitution.
He is also pretty fearless and seemingly uncomprimised, both unusual in todays political world.
He is also an ex champion wrestler and pretty intimidating badass when push comes to shove. Ordinarily, this is kind of a non issue but in todays world, push has been coming to shove
He would be
I may not be remembering things clearly, but weren’t we big Jordan fans a while back, and then he flaked out?
I thought he had let us down big at one point.
Would be interested in hearing from folks who may remember clearly what I’m referencing. It doesn’t come to mind for me right now.
I could be wrong too, so I’ll watch for responses.
Who do they kick off to make room for him?
If I recall my youth, wasn’t it a House “Select Committee” in ‘74?
At least they should present a facade of reality.
I wish I could make memes because this calls for a meme of the German Principals in the Valkyrie Trials where the judges simply berated the defendant before hanging them with wire.
It’s too bad that Republicans are being forced to respond to this illicit procedure as if it were actually legitimate. The telltale sign that it isn’t is that demand letters/invitation letters characterized as subpoenas by Schiff and the media that are ignored or refused are not being sent to a judge for a court order to appear. Schiff threatens them with obstruction but you can’t be prosecuted for an invalid investigation. Read the Constitution. It says “the House”, not the Speaker of the House, shall initiate impeachment proceedings.
Epic!
