The Lebarons are a polygamist sect split off of the Mormon church. While many are still in the US, many also went to Mexico to avoid the law. There are some incidents of violence and inter-clan bloodshed in their past.

The Lebarons are a polygamist sect split off of the Mormon church. It seems to me that the Lebaron's are practicing that good old time Mormon religion and modern Mormonism split off from them.
