No Whoopi. No Meghan. Still a whole lotta drama.
With Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain off for Friday’s installment of “The View,” Joy Behar assumed the role of gabfest ringleader. The episode began innocuously enough with the gals cheerfully yakking about their Halloween costumes from the previous day. And then the mood quickly turned doom-and-gloom.
Less than five minutes into the show, Behar dropped a bombshell.
Scheduled to appear on the Nov. 7 episode — the 5,000th of the series, no less — will be none other than Donald Trump Jr. and his current squeeze, former Fox News pundit Kimberly Guilfoyle.

I guess DonJr thinks he can get the best of them and perhaps win some of their viewers to his father’s side.
Kimberly is pretty sharp herself. She won’t sit silent.

I very rarely listen to Rush anymore - more than 10 years on even a semi-regular basis.
But he has THE perfect name for her...

Every interview is a trap.
No matter how open you are, no matter how engaging you are, no matter how friendly you are, it's a setup and anything you say will be used against you and used to destroy you.
They will entrap you with hypothetical questions, confront you with an incident from your past, or bring up something from left field to throw you off your game.
It's like the youtube video. Don't Talk to the Police. No matter how smart and well informed you are they will trip you up.
Besides, you won't win anybody over. The audience will hate you before the interview and they will hate you more after the interview.
It's a no-win proposition

It’ll be good for the shows ratings. Which I suspect is the real reason behind booking him. That said, I hope he puts the collective hags in their place.

The divorce thing technically is saddening, but I understand that Vanessa was/is a big lib, and totally not on board with her FIL as President. It would be tough on everybody. Anyhow, it’s over, and it is what it is.
I hope Kimberly is sincere about Jr., and isn’t just using him to advance her own future to be in the limelight. She does so love the limelight, and celebrity in general.
I like Eric and Lara better.
