I don’t mind rambling *conversation*. And I’m probably giving Peterson short shrift; but whenever I’ve tried to listen to him lecture, after a few minutes I’ve been squirming and thinking, ‘Come on, Man - Land the Plane!’. I’ll have to give him another chance.
My paternal ancestors came to Jamestown sometime in the early 1600s, and stayed in the Tidewater until 1918, when my grandmother came to Washington with a new husband. Somewhere I have a genealogy with the exact year, but couldn’t remember it when I signed-up here. 1630 was apparently a good year for Jamestown, so, that’s that.
You are interesting, too.
LOL. I often think the same thing when listening to everyday people talk. I'd much prefer a journey that adds intellectual or cultural value by taking some side roads and learning some back stories.
I’ll get one of his books and add it to my pile. His speaking may interest me more if I read a book of his first.
