GERMANTOWN, Md. - A county executive in Maryland has banned a police station from displaying a wooden “thin blue line” flag that was a gift from a local resident.
"The flag provides a symbol of support to some but it is a symbol of dismissiveness to others,” Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich said in a note. “Because it is divisive, the flag will not be posted at the 5th District nor in any public space within the Police Department."

The county executive Ehrlich is a putz. He's probably worried about the parts of Montgomery County that have turned into the Third world.
He’s actually equating the criminals with the police. The cops there should revolt against him but I’m betting they won’t.
Many in our country consider the Stars and Stripes to be divisive. I consider the rainbow flag divisive.

My son is a fireman, so he has the American flag with the red stripe in front of his house.
He does it because he is an EMT as well as a fireman
The flag is NOT divisive, rather it identifies his house as a supporting all first responders.
Elrich should be treated like a hairball, and coughed out next election !

Correction. Mayor = county executive. But, in the end, the mayor has the back of his executive, and not the police.
Incidentally, his next door neighbor is a law enforcement officer,
and he has the blue stripe flag.
