Nigel Farage has said he will not be standing as a candidate in the general election on 12 December.
The Brexit Party leader told the BBC's Andrew Marr he had thought "very hard" but had decided he could "serve the cause better" by supporting his party's 600 candidates "across the UK".
"I don't want to be in politics for the rest of my life," he said.
Mr Farage, who has stood for Parliament seven times previously, also criticised PM Boris Johnson's new Brexit deal.
He told BBC One's Andrew Marr Show the deal agreed earlier this month was "virtually worse that being in the EU".

yep
Farage, in his own way, has done more for the independence of the UK than any man since Churchill.
Step #1 would be for Britain is to accept Boris Johnson's plan.
Step #2 would be for Britain, either through an ordinary act of Parliament or another referendum, break away from the remaining encumbrances once it's realized that even *they* are too much for Britain to tolerate.
As expected, Farage is too gutless to actually DO anything about Brexit. He can only stand on the sidelines and shout “Oh, you should do this, do this” but never does anything.
When he was an MEP he did NOTHING for the UK fisheries or indeed anything else for the UK.
But he made noise and kept himself in the public limelight.
Now he is going to divide the leave vote — Farage wants Brexit to drag on as that keeps him relevant.
The guy’s a charlatan.
