“Lack of diversity” is the bad term for having one agreed upon culture. Feel free to celebrate some old customs from yours or your ancestors’ culture, but know that there is ONE dominant culture.
At least where I live, the majority of people are church-going African-Americans. Best people in the world. One of the reasons I didn’t relocate to Maine was because of the taxes and the fear that third world immigrants would be planted in my town.
When do we get to vote on this whole diversity thing? Or did we and I missed it?

America was founded on and became a “melting pot” due to LEGAL immigrants embraced our culture and values.
Diversity is divisive.
Odd that no one ever decries the “Void of Cultural Diversity” in the ghettos and barrios. Nor does the NY Times ever seem to argue for flooding those places with whites who should be encouraged to set up their own “built-in” communities rather than integrate.
No thank you! We moved to Wyoming to escape all that wonderful diversity and we do not at all miss the ‘diversity’ we used to see in Sacramento that included MS-13, Crips, Bloods, and etc.
This is the exact opposite of assimilation.
Immigrants have a duty to become one with American culture, not retain their foreign ways.
The Times needs to hire some actual journalist to fill the “void of journalism” in their propaganda rag.
This why all the talk of civil war is taking place. The leftist progressives are trying to force things upon Americans and they will resist it. Who are the Left to make these decisions. Cold civil war will turn very hot if this is pushed to far.

They thought they'd sell people with all the usual crap about the wonders of diversity and how productive the muslims would become in just a couple of years. But to their dismay the local hicks that filled the building came well armed and educated about the objectives of Islam expansion.
As liberals are prone do do they pretty much spilled the beans when a female pastor opened the meeting with a prayer in Arabic that produced instant jeers. --- It all went down hill from there.
Portland Maine is so diverse with Somalians that there is no room left for whites in homeless shelters and public housing.
Americans in Japan actually commit crimes at an even lower rate that native Japanese precisely because they need to meet a high standard to be there at all.
So while there are nice markets, bistros, schools and other businesses to cater to that diversity, the Japanese culture is clearly dominant. And nobody in Minato Ward has a problem with that.
