While stationed in Europe (Germany) on my first visit to Paris I made it a point visiting besides Nappys tomb and other landmarks to include Pershing Hall the birthplace of the AL. And whenever there was a must stop.

Our Post is down to three WWII members. We have not a good job in signing the Gulf War veterans - the Membership dates have been open since 9/11. Once the WWII & Korean vets are gone, we will be a much smaller organization.

Brother, thanks for your efforts to ensure the continuation of this great country; we are all Still Serving Proudly. I’d like to encourage all Freepers that have ever served in our military to join the Legion.

This past summer, Congress voted for and President Trump signed the Thanks to the LEGION Act, expanding eligibility to everyone that served from Dec. 7, 1941, to the present, and includes all the current war campaigns. Previously, there were seven declared war periods. Now there are two, the current war period dating back to World War II and another war era covering World War I. Basically, if you served honorably, you are eligible.
