Trump Impeachment Starts More Partisan Than Bill Clinton's
Axios ^ | 11/1/19

During the House's historic vote to set the ground rules for the impeachment of Donald J. Trump, members shouted and booed as the votes popped up in lights on the wall above them.

Why it matters: The Legislative Branch embarks on its ultimate weapon against the Executive Branch with the two parties locked in corners.

You could see Republicans shaking their heads as the "Yea" votes soared. Speaker Pelosi lost only two Democrats; no Republicans crossed over.

Flashback: It wasn't this stark 21 years ago, for the 1998 vote launching the impeachment of William J. Clinton: 31 Democrats joined all Republicans in setting up a formal process for considering impeachment

>>> We keep hearing that, yet little seems to be happening. <<<

Perhaps wishful thinking on my part, but the “hair on fire” impeachment narrative, Pelosi’s 180 degree flip on the vote, and the level of saturation the media is dedicating to this scam (read the transcript) suggests the CRIMINAL investigation by the DOJ is devastating.

Remember, the crooks know what crimes were committed. The Hussein/Clinton spying operation on Trump was wide and deep.

Patience my friend.

Emmett Tyrell agrees with you and he has studied this far more than I.

I hope you are both right!

No, the GOP won’t go there. They would be crucified by the MSM.

As opposed to.... being crucified by the MSM?

The election ads are just writing themselves. The American people really don’t like injustice.

No political ads on Twitter for 2020. I expect most of social media will follow their lead.

When the Republicans became convinced that Nixon was guilty of criminal activity, they made it known that they would not defend the guilty or guilty behavior. When Clinton was accused of criminal activity, the Democrats circled the wagons, defended him against due process, and made it clear that they would protect their privileges and power structure at all costs. This is the difference between the Democrat Party and the Republican Party.

The Starr Report cited 11 felonies against Clinton. There was nothing partisan about his impeachment.

It has been proven time and again that Trump did nothing wrong--and committed no crime.

The Trump "impeachment" circus is one of the most disgraceful episodes in US history. It is nothing but a last-ditch, partisan effort by Democrat politicians to nullify the 2016 Presidential Election. It is an attempt, by corrupt politicians, to frame an innocent man for a non-existent crime for purely political purposes and to protect their own political power.

There is no other reason.

From their viewpoint, they must stop Trump. They know that he will be re-elected in 2020 and will expose the truth about them, their corruption, and their criminal activity. They can not allow this to happen. It will destroy them.

They are cornered. They are desperate. They dangerous. Nothing is beneath them.

The GOP is terrified by the MSM. They would be scared to death to pull off what the Dems are doing now.

Local TV still has ads. That’s where these ads should be anyway.

3.Clinton approval stayed above 60 in 1998. Thank the partisan media for Trump's lower numbers (so far)

Young people don’t watch local TV. If you are targeting them good luck. That’s why being shut out of social media is so key. They spend their lives online.

You’re right, they won’t go there, especially if the person is of color or a woman.

We would have easily impeached Obama, but his skin color saved him.

"I think the left knows that any investigation by Barr and Durham can easily be stalled beyond the 2020 elections. After that, when they take over, Barr will be replaced by a Deep Stater and everything will be shut down"

Been thinking that, myself. Sigh...

“Bipartisanship “ (barf) is hardly the only difference here.

This is the destruction of yet another part of our Constitution by the Political Class tyrants that rule over the people of America. Both due process and the impeachment clause of the bill of rights and constitution, respectively, are now dead letters. You see the man, and the “crime” will now be found...or invented.

It is also the dissolution of America as a nation-State in full view.

The Only chance for the survival of the people, if not the nation, is the complete destruction, with extreme prejudice, of the Political Class and their established media edifice. Extreme Prejudice.

I think it’s more a case of the GOP not caring to support an issue than being afraid of the media. The GOP donor class agenda is not in alignment with GOP voters on immigration, trade, health care, etc., etc.

BJ Clinton admitted to perjury in writing his last day in office in an agreement with Robert Ray in order to avoid indictment. We already knew that, of course, he had committed Grand Jury perjury and Obstruction of Justice, for which he was impeached. Clinton paid fines and was disbarred.

The fate of the GOP is dependent on how unified they are in defending Trump. If there are even a few defections in the House or Senate, then the GOP will go the way of the Whigs. I hope they realize that.

Absolutely. To compare the Trump “Impeachment” and the Clinton Impeachment is a travesty in and of itself...

Good Grief. Actually, when you think about it, that isn’t different, that is the same if you reword it:

3. Media in the tank for Leftist interests.

Trump has had to claw upward AGAINST the media for any approval rating increase he has registered.
