Full title: 'No further discussion': Talks halt between whistleblower lawyers and Schiff staff amid expectation he won’t testify.
The whistleblower whose complaint launched impeachment proceedings against President Trump is unlikely to testify to Congress, as talks have ceased between his legal team and committee leaders.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who has overseen depositions in Democrats' impeachment proceeding, was initially eager for the whistleblower to testify before citing concern about the person being identified.
Republicans accuse Schiff, a California Democrat, of changing course to prevent inquiries into his staff's dealings with the whistleblower before he filed his Aug. 12 complaint to the Intelligence Community inspector general.
A source familiar with the discussions told the Washington Examiner that talks halted over potential testimony from the whistleblower and there is no discussion of testimony from a second whistleblower, who supported the first's claims.
“There is no indication that either of the original whistleblowers will be called to testify or appear before the Senate or House Intelligence committees. There is no further discussion ongoing between the legal team and the committees,” the person said.

He was never going to testify. His job was to get the ball rolling.
Well, if there is an actual House impeachment investigation. The whistleblower will testify if only to sit there and take the fifth.
Which is why I wrote “whistleblower” in quotes. It should say leaker and he should be subject to criminal charges under the Espionage Act.
Unfortunately, nothing like this will happen in the swamp called DC.

The “Trump” DOJ is never in a million years going to investigate the coupist conspiracies of House Dems. Only the GOP Senate has the political cover to do that. And they won’t do it because the crime victim is Trump. POTUS is flying solo inside the beltway, basically.

I’m working on a hunch that the Dems are using this guy only as a surrogate whistleblower. As is so much the case with Schiff, I’m thinking he or his staffers made the whole stupid story up. They wrote the script but needed someone to front as a whistleblower and the stupid Lt. Col. let himself be talked into bing the front guy. The reason he has not come forward or been positively identified is because the story is not his story. Now that he has been used, abused, and thrown under the bus by the Dems who don’t need him anymore he wants out. Clearly the guy has to be now under investigation by the military and may be court-martialed before this is over. This could get very messy very fast.
