By who? The GOP Senate certainly didn’t stand down when they sunk Ratcliffe for DNI. It should be clear by now that POTUS has no control of the Senate. McConnell does what he wants when he wants.

It should be clear by now that POTUS has no control of the Senate. McConnell does what he wants when he wants. This might shock some people here on FR, but what you describe is exactly the way the U.S. Constitution intended our government to work.
