High winds are making things even scarier in California as wildfires are flaring up all over the state.

Millions are being evacuated to safer areas and thousands of homes are still at risk.

In Los Angeles, there’s a flurry of activity inside the command center and staging area with fire teams on high alert, getting ready for what could be the most crucial and difficult 36-48 hours of their fight.

The National Weather Service has issued, for the first time in their history, an Extreme Red Flag Warning. The big concern is wind.

When I first saw it, I thought the red flag meant they were stealing the guns from millions of people.

And the state STILL won’t let the power companies clear brush from the power line right of way.

I think most of this strong “wind” is coming out of Hollyweird.

Did an amazing 3.4 sec of research on; who knows if intranets is lying :

For what is worth:

#2. Dead Trees
Since 2010, almost 129 million California trees have died. The state has only removed 1.3 million dead trees in the same amount of time – leaving the rest in the forests.

#5. Overpopulation in High-Risk Fire Zones
Part of the more recent problem with California wildfires has been the number of people each fire impacts. While in the past people avoided living in high-risk fire zones, minimizing the amount of lives lost and buildings destroyed, today a higher population has forced people to build homes in fire zones.

At least PG&E are off the liability hook. :)

Why won’t Trump leave California alone?

That’s so they can blame Republicans who are in a distinct minority in Sacto.

Plus the bums (homeless) living in the woods- which probably cause a lot of these fires.

California population is about 39 million, so MOST of Californians are under this warning? That’s equivalent ALMOST to population of Canada.

Of course not. Clearing the brush might bother the endangered brush tortoise or threatened brush mouse.

And the state STILL won’t let the power companies clear brush from the power line right of way.

Simply not true. The fact is that the state requires the power companies to maintain a clear space around their lines but they have consistently failed to do so. Here's an article from last year:

In the first findings in an investigation that could lead to multibillion-dollar liabilities for Pacific Gas & Electric, California investigators have assessed four of last year’s wildfires caused by trees hitting its powerlines, and found PG&E committed legal violations in three of them — but no fault in the fourth and largest.

Friday’s release from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) focused on four fires in Butte and Nevada Counties, in the Sierra Nevada mountains, which caused no fatalities, rather than on the far more devastating fires in Northern California's wine country, which killed 44 people and led to more than $3 billion in insured property losses.

Of the four, Cal Fire found evidence that PG&E allegedly violated Public Resources Code 4293, which requires adequate clearance between trees and power lines, for three of the fires: The McCourtney Fire and Lobo Fire in Nevada County, which burned nearly 900 acres and destroyed 60 structures; and the Honey Fire in Butte County, which burned 76 acres. All three investigations have been referred to the appropriate county District Attorney’s offices for review, investigators wrote. link

“Of course not. Clearing the brush might bother the endangered brush tortoise or threatened brush mouse.”

What they need is some way to endanger the odoriferous brush leftist.

“#5. Overpopulation in High-Risk Fire Zones”

I was looking at this a while ago. L.A. County is 1/3 the size of the state of NC with same population as the entire state.

If it’s the winds fault, it was the Dims that loaded the gun.

Sorry, but the idea we haven't had wind in California before is utter nonsense. As for needing to clear brush, that's fine. I buy into that part.

IMO < this is scare tactics meant to feed the insatiable appetite of the Climate Change narcissists. "I know the world is coming to an end! Why don't they? I'm going to force them to jump through hoops since they won't buy in willingly."

Cutting off power to millions of Californians on a regular basis actually makes sense to these people in need of deprogramming.

"To hell with humans. We saved the small Crested Brush Sucker, and the lowly power-line right-of-way tortoise."

The state is subject to group psychosis syndrome on a scale that is hard to overstate.

The media is involved. More than a few government agents are buying in and feeding the frenzy. (gotta make sure the public takes this whole thing seriously, I can help herd them)

Of course the Leftists desire all this for control. Who cares if the state is cratering big-time because of demoncRat mismanagement as long as they are the ones who buy into the global Climate Change hoax.

Better to live in a hovel than be honest with folks about the weather.

Quite correct, Bubba. The utilities have massive and ongoing right of way clearing operations using independent contractors. Papa Bear, I don’t know where you’re getting information to the contrary.
