House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to fellow House Democrats Monday afternoon outlining a plan to formalize the impeachment inquiry into President Trump with a vote on Thursday, marking the first move towards a public impeachment.
“This resolution establishes the procedure for hearings that are open to the American people, authorizes the disclosure of deposition transcripts, outlines procedures to transfer evidence to the Judiciary Committee as it considers potential articles of impeachment, and sets forth due process rights for the President and his Counsel,” Pelosi’s letter reads.
The Speaker also took aim at President Trump and Republican allies’ repeated claims that the House’s inquiry “lacks the necessary authorization for a valid impeachment proceeding” by not taking an official vote.

I didn’t realize that you could formalize fraud.
She must believe she’s got the votes.
Too bad we can’t get some indictments and arrests of principal coup plotters before this vote.
Maybe the stupid chanting at the baseball game gave her the impression more was behind her.
No way Pelosi will submit to public cross examination of witnesses by Republicans. Once we see the actual bill it will be exposed as bait and switch BS. Otherwise she’ll be cutting her own throat.

Yeah. The way it normally works is they make sure they have enough votes to pass but let a few members stray if they’re facing tough reelection prospects.
Much ado over nothing. Simply trying to put lipstick on a pig, but the Administration will likely just continue as is.
If they want to actually vote to impeach, that would be something interesting.

Pelosi in sheer, uncontrolled panic....she has had to eat crow!!! She is already a failure, as House Speaker....the worst ever,...but, she does not realize how hated she is!!! I want to see how many of the thirty-five (35) Democrat Moderates & Blue Dogs vote for her Impeachment Investigation legislation. Every one of them that supports Pelosi and her lackey, buffoon, Adam Schiff will lose their seats come next November, 2020 election day!!! This is going to be something to watch come this Thursday.

Personally, I think Nanzi wants out of this fiasco. If the dems don’t get quite enough votes, she can say she tried, but her party has spoken. She can take a few lumps then put this behind them and get on to losing in 2020.
