Schiff was one of a number of congressmen who were not notified of the impending raid against ISIS that resulted in the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
This despite the fact that Schiff, as chair of the House Intelligence Committee, would be automatically in the loop regarding any such effort.
President Trump announced that Schiff, among others, had been left out during questions following his Sunday speech announcing he successful mission.
He made no bones as to the reason why:
“We were going to notify them last night but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like I’ve never seen before,” Trump said. “There is no country in the world that leaks like we do and Washington is a leaking machine.”
It may be dawning on the Dems at last that actions have consequences. They’d better get use to this. They’ll be seeing a lot more of it the next five years.

I totally expect Trump to own them next week by informing them of a raid he has no intention of attempting just to see them leak the info in an effort to foil him.
When the thing blows up in their faces, their outrage will only grow.
Sort of like Democrats.
I call bull$hit. Schiff was not in the military chain of command, and therefore had no need to know of the specifics of the operation. That's the real reason why Schiff and Pelosi were not told.
Anyone who ever served in the military knows well of the phrase "need to know". I held a NATO Top Secret clearance during my 4 years in Germany, my access to classified information was mission specific, and based on my "need to know."
Lazy reporting at its worst, IMHO.
Another point to ponder: Harry Truman was not informed of the Manhattan Project until after he became President. I'll bet few Congressman knew of the project until after the Trinity Test was completed. Up to that point, there was no "need to know."
If the Democrats complain too loudly, Trump should say that a Democrat released al=Baghdadi in 2009 and their ties to this murderous Islamic terrorist are too strong to be trusted.
They can scream all they want. There is NO legal obligation to inform Congress prior to a military operation. The only thing he is required to do, under the doubtful legality of the War Powers Act. is to inform them up to 48 hours after operations start.
That information to Congress is a courtesy of the CIC not a legal requirement.

I’d like to see Pelosi and Schniff asked “Would the raid have been more likely to succeed if you, and had been informed n advance? Would informing you — and thereby your staff — have increased or decreased the odds of a leak?
Trump should suggest that if the Dems want to be informed. they should put trustworthy people in positions of … trust.

Democrats are indeed like mushrooms. They are kept in the dark while being fed bull****.
That particular one feeds on corpses.
They thrive in manure and like the dark?
Mushrooms take more calories to digest than they provide? How does that work? I love mushrooms on pizzas and in omelettes but I’ve never noticed any weight loss by eating them.
Note I said a survival situation, not pizza or omelets.
Anyway, the point was, some are poisonous, and they take more than they provide. Just like Democrats.
