House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) issued a statement following the U.S. operation to kill ISIS terrorist leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Sunday.
Americans salute the heroism and acknowledge the work of our partners in the region. We are relieved that no U.S. personnel died in this daring raid, she said in a statement. The death of al-Baghdadi is significant, but the death of this ISIS leader does not mean the death of ISIS. Scores of ISIS fighters remain under uncertain conditions in Syrian prisons, and countless others in the region and around the world remain intent on spreading their influence and committing acts of terror.
Pelosi, however, again criticized the White House for pulling back troops from Syria earlier this month, saying that ISIS fighters remain under uncertain conditions in Syrian prisons, and countless others in the region and around the world remain intent on spreading their influence.
Meanwhile, her statement added, she said the House has to be told about such raids beforehand.
The House must be briefed on this raid, she said, adding that our military and allies deserve strong, smart and strategic leadership from Washington.

Hey, Nasty, you are not in the military chain of command for such actions.
Nancy is straining for relative importance. Who cares what she thinks?
Don’t worry Nancy pancy. The day will come soon when the ‘strategic plan’ is dependent on you leaking secure info and we’ll tell you then !!
I don’t believe that Congress was told about Doolittle’s attack on Tokyo from the USS Hornet in order to keep it a military operational secret.
Yeah so she could have told the media before hand leading to the terrorist’s escape and in the ensuing battle some of our guys would have been killed.
The Russians need to know, if they did, because we don’t want them attack our forces with anti air missiles.. It is called De-conflicting. The President’s only legal obligation is to tell Congress within 48 hours of committing troops. That is the requirement under the questionably legal “War Powers Act”.
And previous to that she ran straight to Assad in Syria to undermine GW Bush's policies. (and by proxy undermine our military)
...our military and allies deserve strong, smart and strategic leadership from Washington.
So true, Nan...Exactly what our troops got, without the leaks...And precisely why you weren’t told...
It appears to be lost on her that Trump just royally trolled her, aside from the leaking prospects. She demands to be “briefed” first, yet won’t allow PDJT or GOP a voice in her impeachment lair.
